Overall did not receive the service I was expecting. Brought in a road bike for service, have never had issues with it over 8 years, was recommended to bring in for a tune up. Needed a new chain, tires, which they also suggested. They also said I needed a new gear shaft, brakes, tire wheel, and more. Ended up spending as much as I bought the bike for, even with being a member.
3 short rides later about a month in time. Front brakes riding against rim, spent a while adjusting it correctly, and gear shift flag does not work. This was after the first ride. Very nice workers at the bike shop in Maple Grove, but will not recommend bringing bicycle services here. Maybe better luck at a different REI

Overall, it’s a good store. They have a nice selection of items but options are limited for a few things. Most of the items are high quality but they are also expensive. You can find many discounts though.

I received excellent service from the REI bike shop in Maple Grove. I brought in my bike for an issue with the tire. Ben fixed it quickly, and also took the time to show me how I can fix this issue in the future. I really appreciate the time and customer service. Thank you, Ben!

Lenny does great work with bicycle repairs. Rather than upselling, he will recommend what is necessary and he is very thorough.

I've been a long time customer of REI and have never been let down. I went to the Maple Grove location today and the entire team went above and beyond for myself and my daughter. Lynn helped my daughter find the perfect trail runners after months of searching. Blake was endlessly patient with my bike questions and service requests. Eddie absolutely crushed fitting my daughter with a real multi-day backpack. She can be tricky to please and he was dedicated to finding her the perfect pack. It was an amazing day for the whole team!

Skip this REI! They do not have or cannot find products that the REI website says they have items available for pickup that day and then you drive 2 hours to get there and they don’t have it. This is the second time this has happened with REI Maple Grove!

Great staff! I just wish they ran more deals without so many restrictions on what products fall under the deal. Such as “20% any purchase” excluding about 1/3 of the clothing, apparel or camping products. Otherwise I enjoy coming here and spending my time and money here.

The place was magical, nice camping experience without having to worry about bears getting my food. Feb. 2024 the store is being updated and feels more open

I went here with my Mom. She was looking to buy some Hoka shoes for work. The employee who helped her was very nice and did a good job with answering her questions. Also the employee working the register was nice as well.
