Back in July I purchased a young beef from a third party and they had it processed at Sheperskys Meat Processing. I did not do my due diligence on checking them out myself and now I have to pay the price. The beef was supposed to hang for 14 days but due to refrigeration issues because off the heat in July they hung it for 9 days. The meat is the "WORST" I have ever had. The meat smells gamey, tough and flavorless. This is all due to processing! The date stamped on the packing is July 26 2022. Either I received meat that was a year old or they don't have enough pride in their work to stamp the correct date on it. When I went in to pick the meat up I was very concerned about the cleanness of the facility and the unprofessional look of the meat cutters. This is a product I will be ingesting and I take that very seriously! I was not going to write a review but every time I see $1785.45 worth off "DOG" food in my freezer I get pissed! and people need to know! I will be tacking action so some unsuspecting person will not become a victim of these charlatans.

We've always used Jason! He is quick, accurate and one of the best butcher's around!! Great with hogs and beef.

If you want your animal processed I suggest going elsewhere I called them and got on the "List" close to 2 months ago, but they couldn't give me an estimate date. Talked to a coworker few days later and told him I called and got my steer on the "list" and he said he needed to call yet.... long story short coworkers animals got processed 2 weeks ago and mine just died today... Vet figures the nasty weather we've had it came down with pneumonia..... 1500lb beautiful black angus steer...wasted....if it would have been butchered 2 weeks ago my freezer would have had at least 500 lbs of meat in it!!! Good hamburger is $4lb steaks what $7-$12. Do the math I just lost over $2000 of meat!!!

Very professional, they were more than willing to give me jerky meat that I cut myself. Highly recommended if you want what you brought in to be done right
