Tony Wagner has been cutting my hair for over 15 years and he's the best! He always helps me figure out what I should do, style-wise, and every cut is high quality.

I should’ve known when I was in the phone and the guy seemed confused by the service I was asking for. A simple blow out. So many times I wish I could’ve walked out. But I was attached to a brush via my knotted hair. This place is not clean, at my station, the brushes were kept in a Tupperware container and she used multiple. Their shears were just out and not kept in barbicide, honestly I didn’t even see that at any of the stations. The blow out was poor. I asked for a round brush blow out. Usually, for my length one would grab a 300+ round brush I usually use a 450 personally. She grabbed maybe a 1” hard bristled brush and proceeded to fight my hair, she got it tangled in my hair a couple times (as in wrapped from both directions). She changed brushes at least 4 times. She said she wanted to run a large curling iron through it & reached for the 1”. Found that very confusing. I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone under the age of 50... or if you have hair past your ears.

I booked an hour appointment with Ellen based on positive Google reviews. I have been searching for the right stylist for a while after moving to the area. It's always hard to find a someone who can manage my extremely straight and thick hair and listen to what I want. I brought a photo of how I wanted my cut to look - a medium length cut with layers to add volume - and explained to Ellen that I don't want a cut that requires round brushing, curling, straightening, etc. She told me that it would be hard to get that look without styling on my own, but I don't think she is correct. Over the years, I have had stylists accomplish this low maintenance cut for me (here in the north and south metros of MSP also in Portland, OR), so I know that it is possible. We went ahead with the appointment anyway and she shampooed my hair. Before going back into the chair after the shampoo, a man walked by with a broom and ran the broom across the chair that I would be sitting on, leaving hair and who knows what else all over the chair. I can't imagine he or Ellen didn't notice this, but no one cleaned off the chair before I sat back down. This was in bad taste, unprofessional, and unsanitary. Ellen's work space also wasn't very clean. She also used a brush with very tough bristles and it was a little rough and painful. I always wait to judge a cut until after I wash and put my own product in. This cut turned out okay, but it is much shorter than I wanted. She did give me a lot of wonderful layers in that seemed to have added some volume, but the next day after the cut it was flat and lifeless. At the beginning of the appointment, I had also asked if she could do an eyebrow wax and she agreed. After about 45 minutes into the hour long appointment, as she was finishing up my hair, someone told her that her next appointment was there. She seemed to want to get to the next appointment already, so I told her to just forget about the wax. I was disappointed because I still had 15 minutes with her, which was more than enough time for a wax. I was also a new client and had mentioned at the time of booking my appointment that I would like to take advantage of their offer of $36 cut for new clients, but Ellen tried to charge me $50 or $51 for the cut. I was generally happy with the cut and the way she styled it when I walked out the door, but it's not something I can replicate on my own at home. All in all, I believe Ellen is a talented stylist, but her techniques don't fit for what I'm looking to do with my hair. I will keep looking for a stylist in the area.

Sandra has been doing my hair for 23 years and I'm beyond impressed with her!! I trust no one else to touch my hair. I have gone to a couple people just for fast last min thing and they have completely messed it up! I go back to Sandie to fix it and I end up walking out of the salon like a brand new woman!! I highly recommend. Very up on the trends as well. ☺ï¸

So grateful to have found David after searching for a couple years for 'the right stylist.' He's my guy! He gets it right every time. I have wavy, and a tad unruly, hair. I hate it when a stylist tries to make your hair do things you'd never be able to do on your own. His cuts and color just bring out the best! My hair continues to look great, even when my schedule keeps me away for too long. He's reliable and very generous with his time and expertise.
