I had an exceptional experience with this Avis car rental branch. Their level of organization and efficiency was truly impressive, ensuring a remarkably smooth and fast rental process. Easiest rental car experience I’ve ever had. Aaron found me a great car, went over the terms of the contract, inspected the vehicle and had me on my way in no time! Excellent customer service — I recommend this location to anyone, especially if you’re hoping to avoid the airport rental agencies.

My partner and I made a 1 day reservation online yesterday morning, and pre-paid $66.62. When we arrived, we were told that because the reservation was made with a debit card, a $250 damage deposit was required, and that we would need to extend our rental to 2 days. So we had to come up with an additional $300+ just to rent a vehicle. Oh, but it gets better!The card reader didn’t recognize the chip, upon which the employee (who appeared to be the only staff member on site), told us the following:1. The card cannot be swiped or manually entered into e system.2. Apple Pay is not accepted.3. Pay by phone is not accepted.4. The card used must be issued by a major bank with physical branches. Online banks are not accepted.At this point, we had been there for almost an hour. The employee was rude and unaccommodating. We called customer service again, and received essentially the same response. Absolutely no attempt was made by the on site employee, nor the customer service rep to remedy this situation.Here we were, begging this company to take almost $400 of our hard earned money, only to be flat out refused. Twice.The final blow was canceling the original reservation, and finding out that the $66.62 would not be refunded.This experience has left a very sour taste in our mouths. Definitely won’t be doing business with Avis, Budget, Payless or Zipcar moving forward.

Random charges are being pulled from my bank account by Avis and customer service just told me that they will not refund my over draft fee.

I had a pick up on Aug 02 at 10:00am, most terrible place for booking car rentals. It’s either Avis is unreliable and not professional or the Somali worker in the back is a terrible representative. This is my confirmation number for my vehicle 21128690US2.I was given a confirmation email to pick up my car for that day and when I came all the way there the worker dismissed my case and as like many other people commented on here before me he said “that’s online we don’t have any cars available here”. When I asked him why did you give me a confirmation email to come pick it up. He said “I called and left you a voice mail to let you know it’s not ready” I showed him my phone call log on the spot and told him there’s no missed call from the number your telling me. He persisted in this clear lie. Then he went on to tell me there’s 15 people ahead of me. How could there be 15 people ahead of me for a car that I reserved and the reservation tells me it’s ready. Then I left. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU NEED A RENTAL AND ARE PLANNING ANYTHING!!! THEY WILL DEFINITELY WASTE YOUR TIME.

Made a reservation. On the day I was supposed to pick up, I was told there are no cars available and I'd have to "wait another week or so for a vehicle to become available"! I told the representative that my reservation says there's a vehicle available for me today and he says "that's online, but we have no vehicle availabe here". Excuse me? So why did I get a confirmation email and your people even told me on the phone that I do have a vehicle reserved?? Absolute disaster. You can NOT rely on these clowns. They threw off my entire plans for the week.

Didn't have the truck I had a confirmed reservation for. Sent me to another location 30 minutes away at MY Uber expense. No offer of any sort of compensation for my time or extra expense. Really not even sympathetic, just an "oh well" attitude. Avoid.

The line at terminal 2 is taking 2 hours to get through. There are two clerks and sometimes one of them has to leave. I will never rent from budget again at this airport. The manager of the MSP location should be retrained immediately. This is not a situation where a bunch of people showed up all at once.

would leave 0 stars if I could. I made a reservation for May 23rd. Showed up and no cars available. Then was told I would be put on a waiting list. Called back today which is over 2 weeks later. Wasted 45 minutes getting transferred from one number to the next without ever reaching this location.

Didn’t have a car ready that was ordered over a week ago. Waiting 3 hours for car available for road trip. No answers for when car will be available. No one trying to help or accommodate.
