Hours: BCU is a not-for-profit, member-owned Credit Union dedicated to empowering people. Members describe a generally positive and long-term relationship with the institution, using it for many years for day-to-day financial actions, car loans, mortgages, and refinances. The service is often praised as awesome, consistent, good, and helpful, with friendly and competent staff who look out for members' best interests, such as by suggesting beneficial account options. New branch offices are highlighted as wonderful, easy to find with easy parking, convenient drive-through windows, and beautiful, modern interiors where transactions are handled in a quick and easy manner. However, some members express frustrations with specific fees and service issues. There is criticism over a fee for more than six withdrawals a month from a savings account, which one member finds disheartening. A significant service failure involved a duplicate payment and very poor phone service where a member was repeatedly cut off or hung up on, which was described as disgusting. While this was ultimately resolved to the member's satisfaction through investigation, a refund, and a courtesy credit, it highlights that problems can occur. Overall, members appreciate BCU but note that attention to fee structures and consistent, supportive customer service during problems is important for maintaining trust and their positive outlook.
