Quiet, restful gem! Beautiful decor. Enjoyed the reverse osmosis water. Great restaurant. Very pleasant pool area. Right in downtown. So many close-by restaurants. Would definitely stay there again.

BOOK YOUR ROOM AND BE PREPARED FOR A GREAT STAY!The Normandy Inn is unique, quirky, warm and inviting, run by the same family, 3rd generation and a staff that is more family than just employees. The restaurant opened in the 40s. The hotel before that, over 100 years old. Tastefully renovated over all those years into a warm, inviting environment with a stellar staff and wonderful restaurant. This was our first stay. The Innkeeper lives on-site, and has somehow combined modern conveniences with the older style. Warm wood beams, and vaulted ceilings abound. We would recommend staying in the older part of the hotel. Our room was unique, renovated in the last few years, with a separate family room from the main bedroom which had a huge walk-in shower.Years ago, they enclosed the space between 2 of the buildings, that’s where you’ll find the large pool with a real 8 foot deep end, and separate hot tub. There are large glass walls on each side. The pool room is 4 stories high! With rooms that open onto the pool floor if you choose.AND… it’s downtown! 10 minute walk to USBank Stadium. Less for Nicollet Mall.A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH!

First of all the room was very clean and comfortable. The second room that is. The first one they gave us was stripped beds and garbage all over. They immediately gave us an already cleaned room. The room was very cold so we turned the thermostat up. Cold air blew out so up a little more. We left for 3 hours and still cold air. So called the front desk. She said it’s on a boiler so she’d have to turn it on. Hello it’s Minnesota and it’s still winter. Oh and she also said” and stop messing with the thermostat “. Excuse me ?. 10:00 pm slamming doors and woman loud in the hallway. And again at 12:30 screaming and slamming doors. I’ve also never stayed at a Best Western that did not offer continental breakfast and free parking.

We stayed here to celebrate a child’s birthday with a poolside room. Rooms are not clean. Swimming pool area and swimming pool is freezing. Too cold for kids to enjoy. The room was also extremely cold. We turned up the heat to 85 degrees and everyone was still very cold. Wouldn’t stay here again.

While the hotel’s exterior and amenities seemed promising, my stay was overshadowed by an uncomfortable atmosphere and unwelcoming encounters. As a person of color, I felt a sense of unease upon entering, reminiscent of scenes from movies like ‘Get Out.’ The staff’s demeanor towards me was noticeably different, lacking the warmth and hospitality I expect when staying at any establishment. It’s disheartening to note that positive reviews predominantly come from one demographic. A truly inclusive environment should ensure every guest feels valued and respected regardless of race or background.I urge the management to reflect on creating a more welcoming atmosphere for all guests. In today’s diverse world, fostering inclusivity should be a priority. I hope this feedback prompts positive changes to ensure a comfortable experience for everyone.

Great location between both US Bank Stadium and Target Field. Ground parking which is nice not parking in a ramp. Nice pool and hot tub area. Good hotel restaurant. Great customer service.Rooms: I usually stay in a King Suite that has the nice living room space with pull out couch. Decent sized fridge with freezer.

I recently stayed at the Best Western Normandy Hotel, and my overall experience was unfortunately overshadowed by a deeply troubling incident. As a practicing Muslim and a woman of color, I felt compelled to share my unsettling encounter. The manager, Mike Noble, unfairly profiled me as an “outsider” and explicitly mentioned my long coat as a reason for denying me access to the hotel. This discriminatory behavior was not only distressing but also unacceptable in any establishment, particularly one that should prioritize inclusivity and respect for all guests.Despite expressing my concerns to the front desk and discussing the matter with guest service person Beth, I felt dismissed and unheard. Beth went as far as suggesting that Mike’s actions were justified, compounding the distress caused by the incident. In addition to this unfortunate profiling, I echo the concerns raised in previous reviews about the room temperature issues; the room became uncomfortably hot at night. It is disheartening to consider staying at a place where the manager’s actions reflect open racism towards people of color. As a practicing Muslim woman, this experience was particularly hurtful and goes against the principles of tolerance and respect that should be upheld in any establishment.I hope that sharing my experience prompts the hotel management to reevaluate their policies and practices, fostering a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all guests.

I want to start with we had such amazing welcoming from such a great lady I can’t remember her name but THANK YOU! Also the two who checked us out you were awesome!!! The Bar and bartender was great too!But…..On Saturday December 30th 2023 we had a very interesting situation happen at Best Western The Normandy. We got back to the hotel around midnight. Our group of friends just having a good time in the lobby laughing and enjoying their time. When a homeless person got into the hotel. The front desk person working which I believe his name was Ron. Even asked the man (homeless man) to show his room key. Where the man completely ignored him. The homeless man continued towards our group. This was our second night there to add so we have been seen by Ron the night before. As the situation goes on it clearly escalates. By the man working the front desk goes forward by telling one of the guys in our group to leave he is getting kicked out because he is homeless. When our friend got approached to leave he showed his room key and said he is staying there. The man insisted that he was homeless that he needs to leave right now. At the same time the ACTUAL VERY OBVIOUS homeless man is still there which could have ended very badly for all the bystanders. At that point the sister of the NONE HOMELESS man (our friend) went up to the front desk person. Asked him what is happening where the man response with your “brother is homeless.” Clearly that response upset his sister and she had to continue to defend her brother who was still outside at this point. After that point he finally realized he made a HUGE mistake. Then he finally let our friend back in. At that point he gave a very disingenuous apology for his behavior of kicking out the wrong person. I do understand that some of our friends were so upset that they acted on angry which I apologize on their behalf. I just can’t understand how something like this happens. It could have all been avoided if people were doing their job in the first place and not putting us in such a dangerous position. I hope this incident is a lesson on how to go forward on future situations. Sadly, after reading your reviews I do not think you will. Also, please do not just copy and paste the same “On behalf of our entire team” response you have on all of your reviews it’s discourteous.

We stayed here over Christmas for the Vikings/Lions game. It was amazing in every way! The front desk staff were exceptional. The parking was great, the walk to the stadium was super close. Everything was fantastic. The restaurant was closed on Christmas Day. They had a continental breakfast which was perfect. The gentleman running the breakfast was amazing, friendly. The hospitality at this hotel was amazing!!Rooms: Clean and quiet

My coat was stolen from our room and the hotel confirmed staff had been in our room. I reached out to housekeeping with no luck. Reached out to the general manager by voicemail and email and corporate via email and no response at all.

Had a great time in a pool side room to celebrate my friend’s birthday! Hotel manager Peter was so helpful, he even shuttled us to a concert at the Target center. The hotel was great, but Peter made our trip memorable. What a cool guy!!

Very disappointed in the guest follow through by this location on thursday, December 7th. A good friend (Lyle P.) was promised a ride by the Best Western shuttle, forced to take an Uber to Abbott Hospital, and then abandoned there after a full day of tests. Exhausted, an incredibly frustrated after being promised pick up by the hotel shuttle and waiting over an hour, he reached out to me to rescue him, and return him safely to the hotel. Whether this is a management issue not properly Staffing to have someone that could operate the shuttle, or indifference on the part of the staff, this is inexcusable, and reflects very poorly on the Best Western brand. Choose other lodging, if you want promises to be kept, and Hospitality to be delivered.Noteworthy details: Corporate needs to review this hotel for best practices, and to ensure that future guests do not suffer as my good friend did.
