BF Nelson Park is a great and gorgeous park with walking paths along a trail and river. It offers nice scenery, pretty views of Minneapolis and water, and lots of open space and greenery. The park is very quiet and peaceful, a good place to walk, relax, meditate, or run. It is dog-friendly, with trails that are easy to follow. There is a small parking lot, a nice statue, and a pretty nifty bridge good for photos. It features plenty of shady spots to sit and is not too far from other nice parts of the city. The park seems well-maintained and provides a quiet escape in the middle of the urban jungle.
Its a great park with walking paths and is also dog friendly. There have been a few I've seen that ignore the posted signs for dogs to be leashed and to pick up after their animal. Things like that ruin it for many who follow the rules.
