Extremely uncomfortable shopping experience. Security followed me around the store the entire time for no apparent reason, making me feel singled out and unwelcome.
What’s worse is that after looking at reviews, it’s clear many other customers have complained about the same issue. This seems to be a pattern, not a one-time incident. Customers should not feel like suspects while shopping. Burlington seriously needs to address this.

Very unsafe store with merchandise all over the floor. Check out is a disaster. Ask the manager to help, and she said no. And just stood there doing nothing. Horrible customer service. Last I checked speak ENGLISH at your job unless a request is made otherwise.

After the experience I’ve had here today I will seriously consider never stepping another foot into a Burlington again! My husband, child and I came in there for a few things. We ended up with like $200 worth of merchandise in our hand. We waited in line at check out and right as we were about to get to the register my 10 year old son accidentally dropped a skala hair product and it busted all over the floor. My husband immediately asked for things to clean it up and as he was helping this girl clean up she goes you have to pay for that. My husband was like no we don’t you guys have insurance for things like this plus look at all the stuff we’re buying. She didn’t say anything else and I proceeded to check out with my other things. Here is the thing about this whole situation I was going to offer to pay for it but what happened next was absolutely a big no no. As the girl was almost done ringing me out, after my husband made it explicitly clear that a child dropped that by mistake and we would not be paying for that. The other girl came up and asked my cashier in Spanish if she had wrong in my product twice because I was going to get two of them, the other girl responded yes. Here’s the thing I speak Spanish fluently, I grew up in Costa Rica and everything but to most people I do not appear to be a native Spanish speaker. When I heard that I responded to her back in Spanish I will not be paying for that. She asked why not and I said because he is a child. And because you’re trying to sneak stuff onto my bill (I wonder how many times they’ve done this before). Once I told her that she just shrugged her shoulder at me and I said that’s fine I just won’t buy anything then. And we started to walk out. As we walked out a young man behind the counter who works there yelled “y’all some goofies for not paying for that” and proceeded to start a argument with my husband and antagonize him. I have never in my 39 years experienced such a poor quality of customer service and respect. They do not respect their customers in there. We where not argumentative we where simply going to walk out because of the poor customer service but then to get verbally accosted by the staff while we where trying to leave is absolutely insane.
I do write a message to corporate however if they do not get back to me I will be reaching out to the Better Business bureau, for the simple fact that they tried to charge me for something with out their knowledge. Also let’s keep in mind that this store experiences A LOT of theft, so sending something to insurance that costs $5.99 because a child broke it in front of you would not be anything especially when we where spending $200 and also if they would’ve just been chill about it I would’ve offered to pay for it but her approach was wayyyyyy off. My son felt like crying because he thought he did something so bad, and was so upset that, that young man said that stuff to us walking out. Absolutely unacceptable.

They’re doing Much better in every category the security is amazing top-notch respectful yet firm shop stocked not sure about the checkout one of em but nonetheless, this isn’t the Burlington I knew a few years ago!

Tried to go here 15 minutes before close and wouldn’t be let in due to them “being closed”. It was 8:45 and they closed at 9. I was trying to quickly buy a jacket for a girl in need. Security shrugged and said nothing she can do. Then loss prevention came over and when I asked if they really won’t let me buy a jacket for a child in need 15 minutes before they close, and he said “no”. Fitting given the other reviews about security I’m reading.
First time trying to shop at a Burlington and probably won’t be back. Only gave it 3 stars as I can’t speak to the quality as I wasn’t allowed in.

Going to this store was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a while. I went to return something’s that I bought from a different location. Obviously, customer service, let alone common human decency is NOT the standard here. The person at the register was wildly rude and treated me as if I stole the things I was attempting to return. I truly look forward to the day where stores like this crumble because how dare you treat customers like you’re doing us a favor like most of us aren’t spending our hard earned money with you. So many things locked up, the way the security is, etc… it’s nothing but exploitation of marginalized communities. Disgusting and I mean that with the utmost disrespect!

Hostile as usual and uncomfortable The security guards were out of line yelling at a minor and yelling at me and my sister telling us we had to leave and he was calling the cops on us after I was trying to figure out what happened I was asking why they were yelling at my nephew the security guard gave me a wicked attitude rolling trying to impress his co-workers as the security guard was treating costumer's with no respect I honestly thought it was conflict of interest for two people to date at the job site and the security guard could have went about the whole situation differently as they were yelling at a minor as minors are sensitive he was very unprofessional and hostile as I was trying to ask what happened

This is a terrible Burlington. My family and I are visiting from Chicago and needed a blanket for the evening. July was super sweet. Management tried to close the store 24 minutes early!!!! This would never happen in Chicago!!! Store # 1280

I went to this Burlington because, I like to visit different places and my friends recommend it to buy thingsi need. So, I decided to go to this place because they told me that this store has very affordable prices, and honestly, I was very fascinated by the prices. I loved it, the quality of their products is very good. This store has very good service and everything is very nice. I loved it. I definitely recommend this place.
