I often came here once in a while to treat myself to a more expensive sweet treat, I love their crepe cake. But today I went in to find out that they are charging a 15% service fee after the tax amount, as a result I will never be coming here again. It is absolutely abhorrent and unethical for a TAKEAWAY bakery to not only be charging high prices for baked goods but to add a 15% service fee on top of it. If you want to pay your staff fair wages I suggest adding that 15% to the prices of all of your items and the customers can decide whether your goods are worth this more increased pricing but it is completely unethical to have a little sign saying we charge 15% service charge. I am so sick of places in north loop that think they are located in a city like NYC or LA and charge as such. Like listen we live in a mid sized city stop charging customers so much freaking money, take less profit or don’t be in business. Look at Europe even the most upscale bakeries in some of the biggest cities with organic ingredients provide fair and livable wages for their staff with no tips expected and their goods are still 100 times cheaper than this place. That being said unless they incorporate that 15% into the prices of the goods i won’t be coming to such an unethical sneaky establishment trying to scam their customers and make more profit and put the burden of paying their employees “fair” wages on the customers when it should be the responsibility of the store owner. Not to mention how expensive it is getting for the middle class to even go out anymore because of how expensive establishments like this are getting.

The French Pastry 101 class was gifted to me for Christmas. It was a really fun class and Chef Zoe was a fantastic instructor. Highly suggest this as a date night thing or with a friend.

This last visit we had two Crescents’ and a chicken pot pie-size for one person. the total for the three items was $32.60, they charged nearly 30% for tax and Hospitality charge. ( Hospitality Charge was 15%) This is a joke hospitality charge for what, it was to go. This is plain and simple gouging. The products are ok but there are may other places as good or better. And to top it off they have a tip jar out. These guys need to get a clue. They are doing business on their coat tales, it's not that great.

$6.50 for a large coffee. Okay that’s normal. Then I got a BLT croissant and my total was $28. That means they are charging $21 for a sandwich!!! What a rip off. It was not worth it in the slightest. 2/10 wouldn’t recommend.

The experience for one of the classes we took was definitely below avg. I’ll protect the chef and class by not mentioning which class we took because the issues do not stem from them. The experience is extremely overpriced. $100 for a chance to split time cutting veggies with a larger group of people. You get no specific attention unless you demand it and you leave with barely any new knowledge or skills after leaving. They try to get you to buy drinks while cooking and the issue there for my group specifically is that they were pouring roughly 4ozs of wine per order… the standard pour is 5-6 ozs, so why are they short changing us???The class size is great but you’re broken into teams and tons of the ingredients are already pre-prepared… isn’t that the point of the class, for us to learn everything start to finish? They offer a discount in the store after the class… but the store closes before the class is over??? So you have to rush for any attempt to use the coupon.Overall tons of gaping flaws in the class. Was the food good? Yes, but if we learn next to nothing and are put into larger teams, why not just go next door to Maison Margaux to spend that $300/couple to be served? Point being, there should be way more skill teaching and way more one-on-one instruction. Way more.

Cooking classI took a cooking class. It was a lot of fun, but we cooked in groups, so it was hard to have a turn at everything. I either felt like I was taking over or missing out.The groups were of six for those classes, so if you have that many you can be your own group.

Our favorite place to eat (ham and cheese croissant is a portal to heaven) and have coffee when in MSP. Great shopping for cookware and knives as well as plenty of sweet pastry items to throw in your carry on before flying out....

We love pastries and croissants, and if you do too, you have to stop in! I am a s***** for an almond croissant and theirs is excellent! I also enjoyed the chocolate almond croissant. I love how efficient the service is - not to mention I get to shop around for kitchen gadgets while I'm waiting! There is ample space to sit inside or out which is great. Parking is easy as 50th and France has ton of public parking options.

What a cute store/bakery! We stopped here after the farmers market to get croissants and were very happy with our decision! So far, it was the best croissant I've had in MN (ham and cheese). While they warmed it up, we walked around and I had to really hold back from buying something - everything was adorable!

This is a really well executed idea for a French pastry restaurant, coffee bar, retail space and practice kitchen for cooking classes and I really enjoyed the overall vibe. The selection of honeys, jams, oils and sauces is great, as well as the various accoutrements. The patries are on point as well - almond croissant and bread pudding were so good. The breakfast sandwich I had was just ok- I'd probably skip that. And the coffee wasn't anything special either - I'd probably skip that too. But overall, cool spot and a do not miss while out for a walk in the north loop.
