I absolutely love the entire global market, but this store is my all time favorite out of all of the shops. the shopkeeper is very kind, and discounted the little box I had been eying for a few weeks! I love going in just to say hi, so if you’re in the global market, you should definitely go say hi! 🇲🇦❤️🇸🇾
I think anyone who thinks he is particularly rude hasn’t been around a ton of middle eastern people, as to me this just seems similar to how my friends and family

We just bought the most beautiful rug and silver tea pot today! The owner was kind and helpful beyond belief. He was so knowledgeable about all of the products. I cannot wait to return in the future to buy more stunning high quality rugs. I would recommend this store to everyone I know!!! Such a positive shopping experience.

Could have given 1 star but decided to give 5 for owner’s humor. Owner/employee was rude and snarky. Took relatives from New York City there this Saturday to show them around town and they didn’t purchase anything after viewing 2 brown backpacks. You don’t always have to buy everything you see when shopping. So the owner there got upset and told them to go buy handbags at Target and Ikea 🤣😂😆. It was funny because my relatives are from NYC so they have never stepped foot into a Target/Ikea 😂🤣. I was still polite to the owner and thanked him. Wanted to confront him in Arabic but decided not to know the language. We usually get our leathers from this nice Lebanese family in NYC. Lebanese hospitality is one of the best. Other similar ethnic groups should learn from them. Nonetheless, the owner of Dar Medina created a unique ethnic (horrible but humorous) experience for the relatives. Cute attitude. We prayed for the owner to find peace in his heart and happiness. Thank you for the laughs.😊🤗🥰

Dear Mostafa,Thinking of you and your family and friends after the terrible earthquake in Morocco- please know all your customers care for you and your family.Dar Medina is my favorite shopping experience- the beauty of the textiles, purses and housewares overwhelms the senses. If that is not enough, Mostafa greets you as a friend with sincere hospitality- offers Moroccan tea for all who linger and you should. Over the years, I have purchased ornate stamped red purse and wallet purse, vibrant cotton throw, leather sandals with carpet inlay, colorful geometric rug and I generally am not a shopper! All of my purchases I enjoy everyday- even wear sandals in the house in winter. Mostafa has such incredible connections to friends and family who make these beautiful handmade pieces with love and soul in Morocco. Please help the Moroccan artisans who may have been affected by the earthquake and consider stopping by and shopping at Dar Medina. Oh and I live in my cotton (not itchy) hat six months- covers and keeps my ears warm skiing- so cute!covers my ears keeps me warm skiing.

I bought a beautiful woven cotton jacket at Dar Medina recently. It is so beautiful, and perfect for cool spring days. Customer service in the store was at the perfect level...not too little and not too much. I will definitely go back!

I asked for a specific Moroccan blanket that had to be made with my color selections. Mostafa had this done while he was in Morocco, brought it back home, then mailed it to me. It is so beautiful, and I do appreciate him going to all this trouble. This a fabulous store!!!

I buy a new wallet from Mostafa every year as part of my new year tradition. I own five or six Dar Medina bags, two rugs, a few throw pillows, and wallets in every color! All of the items are beautifully made, excellent quality and will last a lifetime. Mostafa always recognizes us when we come in, is so genuine and friendly, and is generous with stories and tea. This is one of my FAVORITE places to shop in Minneapolis.

I wandered into Mostafa's shop not sure what I would find if anything. He was immediately attentive and made sure to explain the Moroccan goods that he sells. He let me feel and try on the satchels and explained the differences between each one. I decided to buy a small satchel made of sheep leather which fits my 13 inch lap top with room for other things. Mostafa is a kind shop keeper and I highly recommend checking his shop out for quality goods!
