January 2024 by Rona P.
I was visiting my sons in Minneapolis in November. we wanted to spend a day lounging by a pool so made reservations. Upon arrival found out pool was "out of order". Cancelled our reservation immediately and was told I would be refunded my money in 3-5 business days. That was November 12, 2023. It is now January 4, 2024. After 40 plus emails and 20 plus phone calls, I have yet to be refunded my money. Frustrated and disgusted barely covers it.

Excellent stay cation for me downtown. Convenient to everything. Lovely staff as well. I wish I would of got the gentleman's name that checked me in on Friday evening. He was a class act!! Please, give him some props to his kind words to me and professionalism. It was the anniversary of my mother's death, and we had a nice conversation about it. He was simply fabulous. Shout out to Ryan, the bartender, as well. Good guy!! I'll be back and will also recommend friends to stay there. Thank you

Hotel is conveniently located for the event we were in town for. As soon as we pulled up to the hotel, we were greeted by valets who directed us to check in and parked our vehicle for a nightly fee of $55. The hotel itself is very nice, upscale. There is a complimentary evening reception every night that serves both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and a variety of snacks. The reception was decorated cute for Halloween and has nice views of downtown and plenty of space for seating. The only downside was that when we arrived an hour before it ended, the snacks were picked over and out of a lot of the items, and they did not replenish everything. They also offer complimentary breakfast, which is a step above usual hotel breakfast. They have a made to order omelet station which was very nice. While we were there, a convention was going on at the hotel. People at the convention were also in the breakfast area, so it was very crowded, felt rushed, and not a relaxing atmosphere while getting food. The room was very nice, and I loved the separation between the bedroom and the living/kitchen area. The bathroom, however, only had sliding doors, and they do not lock, so they lacked privacy. Since we had the couch folded down to a bed, if someone was in the bathroom, we had to walk on top of bed to walk from bedroom to living area. Our room had a couple of areas that were not clean upon arrival, including some of the walls, and our comforter had a large makeup stain that looked fresh, and un washed. Overall, I was very impressed with the hotel, and I would stay again. Forgot to take more pictures!

As a Hilton Honors member who only stays at the Hilton brands, I was very disappointed with this hotel. I stayed here during a conference, and upon check in I was given a room that had been smoked in and the room still had an air purification device still sitting there. I returned to the front desk to ask to change rooms, and was told that I could not change rooms because the sales department had to release another room or change the room because of the conference rate. I told the staff member that I was not sleeping in a room that had been smoked in. Eventually I was assigned another room, but the staff member said I could not have a key until later the next day, at this point I did not care because it was late and I just wanted to get settled for an early morning conference. I had to wait for 20 to 25 min standing around outside the new room to be let in because I did not have a key, and was essentially trapped either in or out of the room. I entered the new room and checked the room to make sure it was ready, and there was no toilet paper and the room was not fully clean. I eventually acquired some toilet paper on my own because I could not get ahold of the front desk. I visited the front desk in the morning to see about getting a new key, and that staff member promptly gave me a key. I inquired as to why she can just give me a key and the other guy could not, and she said there should have been no issues giving me a new key. I still cannot understand the key issue. During the week, housekeeping removed all of the toilet paper from the room and did not replace it. I seriously thought it was a joke. I called the front desk to ask for more, which they brought up after a while. All in all, I would not stay here again with all of the issues I encountered, and I would recommend to the conference I attended to avoid this venue in the future.

I highlly recommend this location. The staff is extremely kind, the service was amazing, and I was quite impressed with the breakfast. I was able to walk to the Stadium to watch my Niners loose, and felt safe the entire time. I look forward to my next visit.

The only thing that was questionable is parking, but downtown doesn't really have much in general; room was excellent, breakfast excellent party every night great, workers were all great as well!!... definitely a great place to stay!!Rooms: Very nice, all the amenities you could ask for, bed very comfortable, pillows even better!!Nearby activities: Tram right outside front door, walking distance to USBank stadium food and bars close.Food & drinks: Plenty of options close in proximity.

Had a great experience here. Prime location between Viking, Twins & Timberwolves game venues. Excellent breakfast in the hotel and fun Irish bar located next door and connected in the lobby. Parking is salty, but so is everyone else.

I preordered your promotion of a bucket of Coors Light after being led to believe it would be waiting for me in my room when I got there. The beer didn’t show up in my room until the next day. Turns out the “bucket” was only 4 beers. Got the invoice at checkout and I was charged $48 for 4 beers ($12/bottle)!!!! I didn’t need the beer the next day so it was a wasteThis hotel is overpriced and overrated! The bed was uncomfortable and pillows were flat. Great location in downtown Minneapolis but not good enuff to come back.Nearby activities: Close to sports facilities and plenty of restaurants

We are Hilton brand loyal and Embassy Suites is so nice because of the breakfast and happy hours. Our first time here and the suite is very spacious and bright. We lucked out with a corner suite which has great views even though the weather is not so great. It's easy to walk around in the area.Parking is valet only at $55 a day. We chose to park next door for a lower price. Our coffee maker wasn't working so they replaced it quickly. I love that the bathroom has products that are attached to the walls to eliminate all those small bottles. The couch and bed are comfortable and there isn't any street noise coming in. The window are double paned because of renovations. Not sure when Hilton bought this property because it looks historic. The elevator doors and room doors are lovely. And the cool old mail chute by the elevators.Breakfast is on the second floor that is shared with conference rooms. The food spread isn't different from other Embassy Suites with the egg station as the anchor. I was happy to see the cool Coke machine that dispenses every one of their beverages including Powerade. One suggestion is to have coffee mugs in addition to the to-go cups. The Lyons pub has a door that opens into the lobby so no need to go outside. The happy hour ended up in the lobby bar because the bartender called out. Nibbles were meh: celery sticks, baby carrots, olives, cheese cubes, Boursin cheese (my fav), cubed salami, crackers, tri-color chips and salsa, ranch dressing, hummus and bags of goldfish. The menu itself looked good but I wasn't feeling it so we went next door later in the evening. Definitely check out Embassy Suites for your next stay.

A little older but nice hotel. The rooms were more than adequate but my room didn't have a luggage holder/tray which I always use. It was very spacious and the AC worked wonderfully. The front desk was nice during every interaction as well. I will say the one thing that sucked was that the business center printer doesn't work and they'll only print 5 pages for you. I had to condense 9 pages of notes to the 5 that they allow. They were super nice about it but it was a hassle to head up to email it then down to retrieve it. The breakfast bar was great and the guys who made the omelettes were so nice to everyone! The manager reception was ok too with a nice variety of well drinks. I will probably stay here again next time I am back in town.

I love that Embassy Suites saved an old downtown Minneapolis office building, but there are some things to work on for hotel maintenance. Location is great for taking transit from the airport. I would consider staying here again.

I accidentally left a pair of fairly expensive parts in my room. I filed a report, told them exactly what, and where they were. I was told they were still looking, almost a week later. Either employee's steal from guests, or they never clean the rooms. Either way, this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

Great hotel with easy access to entertainment in the city. 1 block away from the transit and less than 5 minutes from 3 sporting venues. Rooms were clean and the hotel was very quiet, despite its location and the area being busy at night. You can access the skywalk from floor 2 which is a nice way to get around. Would definitely stay here again!Rooms: Very spacious and clean rooms.Walkability: Within walking distance to major sporting venues, restaurants, and entertainment venues.

Stayed 8/24-26Pluses: Great location, beautiful soft, quality linens that don’t smell like bleach. Fantastic ‘free’ breakfast with everything you could ever ask for including made to order omelets & seating area is on second floor with great views!Minus: loooong time to check in & check area/desk is underwhelming! When we arrived no valet available so we had to find our own parking at 11 pm. Not ideal, especially in a city you don’t know.
