Our stay at the Graduate was excellent. We had to go to the University of Minnesota - Fairview for a follow-up on my recent kidney transplant and we decided to stay at the Graduate. The manager, Chuck, was great and made sure we had a positive experience. Upon our check-in he greeted us and made us feel welcome. Kyle, at the front desk, was also very friendly and this made for an easy check-in. The room was awesome and decorated in a very unique style. A framed Herb Brook's jacket, a picture of Loni Anderson, and walleye themed wallpaper in the bathroom made for a very cool looking room. The beds were very comfortable and made for a good night's sleep. The hotel was very clean. It was very apparent that the manager and staff take great pride in providing the best and most welcoming stay possible for guests. The Graduate Hotel will be our "go to" hotel on any future trips to Minneapolis. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Minneapolis area.

They were really great until someone stole or lost my mom's favorite sweater. No call back and no offer to replace, no offer to even discount the room $40...The parking was supposed to be discounted to $15...it cost me $40 when I left! I'm so disappointed! But the location is wonderful and close to the U of M, so we were able to walk to it. The rooms are clean and quiet. Probably would not stay again unless we had to go to the U of M again...be sure to watch your stuff and don't forget it! You won't get any answers from your initial contact to your checkout. Just kiss it goodbye and repurchase.

I stay here once a month and have for years. This year Graduate hotels decided to change their reservation system. I no longer can log in and see my existing reservations, and when I try to call to check my reservation and follow the prompts for existing reservation, it says to check my email. I make reservations 6 months in advance, so the emails are likely deleted by now, because I used to be able to log in and see it. When I finally get a person on the phone, they say they cannot access that information and transfer me to a dead end loop on the phone. SO FRUSTRATING!!! Also, with the old system, I could add notes when making my reservation, requesting a room on the east side of the building, because at like 3am on Monday mornings there is trash service either at the hotel or across the street on the West side of the building, and it wakes me up if I am on that side. PLEASE REMEDY YOUR CUSTOMER LOG IN EXPERIENCE AND YOUR PHONE PROMPTS.

I found cockroaches in my room and went to the front desk. They said sorry and that they just get them sometimes. I will not be returning.

I thought I made a reservation for the TopGolf suite but somehow I made a mistake and it never got confirmed. I talked with Reed at the front desk and he was very accommodating and was able to get my group into a simulator right away. When the simulator froze, he was able to come in and reset it quickly as well. Reed was very helpful!

It’s okay enough. The room is nice but a tad rough around the edges. I’m only 6’0” and the bed was too short. The pillows and bedding were nice. The lobby is filled with college kids studying so it’s not someplace you really want to hang around. Parking is very expensive. Great location if you need to be on campus or go to the university hospital.

I'm a local photographer and have captured several weddings at this venue -- they do such a great job taking care of their couples and guests! The location has many great spaces for a variety of different photography backdrops as well. The attached hotel is extremely convenient, especially for couples who want to give their guests a worry-free event. I'd highly recommend The Graduate for couples looking for a wedding venue!

Hands down, the BEST place to host a wedding in Minneapolis! The staff was amazing and soooooo accommodating - quick to return calls and emails and to answer any/all questions related to my son's wedding. 10+++++ stars!!We hosted the groom's dinner, wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing all in one space and it was the best wedding set-up ever! Guests are still raving about the food and ambience! We had an amazing room block rate. Michael worked with the bride on pricing food, open bar, late night buffet, Topgolf, etc... which made the entire process stress-free. The parking ramp is connected directly to hotel via skyway, which was a huge boon for guests when they arrived for the wedding. We were able to bring in our own furniture, accessories, cake and rentals. We were also able to set things up as we wished with the help of Michael and his amazing team of energetic, hardworking and overly kind staff!!We had the pleasure of enjoying the outdoor patio space, which was absolutely perfect for the cigar bar.I highly recommend the Graduate to all brides & grooms!!!My family is still raving about the wedding and it's been almost a month since the big event.THANK YOU GRADUATE TEAM FOR GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR MY SON AND HIS NEW WIFE!!!

We attended a fundraising dinner and program here in one of the banquet rooms. It's a nice facility and we were pleased. It's so nice to have the attached parking garage, and the inexpensive parking cost after-hours.

I am so sad to write this review. We've loved The Graduate so much and have stayed here quite few times - in fact, we were engaged at this hotel. In the past it's been a unique and interesting stay. If there were issues, they were immediately dealt with and we felt super comfortable with the space.Unfortunately, the last couple of times staying here has been less than ideal. A few months ago, we reserved a particular room and when we arrived, that room was not available and we were placed in a subpar room. We assumed this was a one-time issue and re-booked later for a birthday weekend. We arrived at the hotel around 11:30pm after celebrating my birthday. When we got there, we found a very apologetic hotel staff member who let us know that our room was not available but that "there were still beds for us." Uh, what? They told us that there had been a plumbing issue impacting 25 rooms and so they made other arrangements for guests. Before confirming these "arrangements," we asked to see the room. He walked us upstairs to a "lounge room" where the hotel had placed two cots on the floor of a room with a bar in it. There was literally only two cots on the floor and then a bar along the wall with bar stools. I didn't think to look since I was in shock, but I'm not even sure there was a bathroom in this room. My husband and I looked at each other in disbelief and he said, "are those gurneys?!" We decided we would not stay there, but it was almost midnight at this point and it seemed ridiculous to try to find somewhere else. We certainly wouldn't be able to find a place with the cute vibes we were going for on this birthday weekend.I get that issues happen and I assume the hotel did all it could to handle the issue. However, the hotel absolutely should have called to let folks know that the room situation had changed. For a hotel at this price point, I would have expected better and I doubt we will stay here again since the accommodations seem so "hit or miss" now. Super bummed.I'm giving 2 stars just because we've had such good experiences in the past.

I stayed at this hotel for a conference that was taking place on-site and loved the stay. The hotel is on the U. of M. campus in an extremely walkable area with Starbucks, Bruegger's, a few fast-food restaurants and a pharmacy nearby. The room decor is interesting with pics I found out were of Loni Anderson, Herb Brooks, and the Replacements and other fun pictures and furnishings. The front desk staff were extremely helpful offering a smooth check-in and check-out experience and also handled my Whole Foods delivery while I was out. The restaurant attached to the hotel, The Beacon, was convenient for our team to get together during the event.

I liked this hotel. Embedded in rich student culture. The rooms are clean and comfy. I particularly liked the wall pictures and wall designs in the bathrooms. Recommend this place if you visit Minneapolis.
