I had a business trip and ended ip choosing this location. The hotel was great. Breakfast was great. The ONLY thing I wish I would’ve known is how ROUGH of a neighborhood I was in. Holy Moly. I had to walk to get dinner and run another errand. After dark do NOT go outside. I was threatened and screamed at the top of their lungs from the corner of the hotel for “walking on the dope street and not buying dope” and next time I better walk on the other side. I was beyond uncomfortable and was scared for my life. No joke. BEWARE.
Rooms: I loved my room! It was huge and the tub was amazing. I had the mobile accessibility room for the bathtub. Nothing fancy but I really need the tub rails at times.

Great place to stay and visiting Minneapolis. Went to a twins from stand in several excellent pubs and restaurants nearby. Easy walking distance from downtown. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Had a really good spread for breakfast every morning.

All great except the irritating eco toilets and lighting.

Not a great part of town but there were great places and a few blocks away with great food and drinks.
Rooms: Rooms were standard but nice. Service was excellent.
Walkability: Close to a good amount of activities and restaurants. Close to stadiums and train is real close to get around. Is downtown.

Weekend in Minneapolis for Vikings and Twins games. Great location, clean room, and quiet on the 9th floor. Breakfast was standard Hampton Inn fare and served its purpose. Parking at the Hawthorne Garage was convenient.

We were in Minneapolis for less than 24 hours for a concert. Hotel is at a great location. Didn’t have to utilize a rental car or ride share thanks to the METRO blue line! Was able to check in early around 2pm. Was able to be upgraded to a king studio as Gold member (didn’t need 2 beds anyway). To emphasize convenience of location, we were able to walk to the metro station, take the earliest train, and make our flight at 6am. I wanted to shout out Dre who checked us in. Dre is kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. We had a great stay!

What a great place!!! Very clean and the staff was wonderful!! Magz at the front desk was so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. She walked us through the process of the parking which is across the street but they give you a map and explain exactly what to do to pay for the parking. Pull up to the front of the building and go check in and take your bags up. Use the valet or park yourself. If you park yourself, there is a walkway from the garage to the hotel and it’s on the second floor. Hotel and room were very clean.
The parking walkway is part of the Skywalk System and is amazing. The Skywalk is 2 stories above the street and is 10 miles of interconnected walkways that take you all over the city. The front desk will give you a map. We took it to the Twins game that night and didn’t have to worry about a thing from walking to and from the stadium. It’s super clean and has police walk through it. It’s open Monday thru Friday only and stays open later on the nights of events at Target Field and Target Center. The Hampton Inn is only a short walk to the Field. We will definitely stay here again! Our room was across from the Prince mural and in the pic you can see the walkway below our room connecting to the garage and you can see the Field in the distance.
Walkability: Easy walk around the city using the Skywalk.

The parking situation is terrible. Charged my party $96 for 4 days parking in adjacent Target Center lot. Told that on exiting each day if the price was under $14 to just pay it ourselves! What? What are we paying $24 day for? Tickets provided sometimes didn’t work. Sometimes the lot was full because of events which resulted in additional parking costs.
The trip isn’t over yet, but I estimate the total parking costs of our 4 day weekend in Minneapolis will be around $250+.
Stay further outside the city. Drive in for events and save yourself this expense and headache! I just can’t recommend staying here because of this. The rooms are nice, the staff helps as they can, but this has ruined the stay for me.

Convince of the location was nice, even though we were not there for an event at the Target field or Center. Just be mindful of your surroundings if walking on the town. Hennapan was heavy with gang activity and the bus stop just outside the door was saturated with homeless people asking for anything.
Kind staff. Clean. Secure to keep trouble out. Always coffee available. The microwave is on the main floor by the check in desk. If you like Indian food, the Dancing Gesha is worth it and an easy walk.

I had an amazing stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Minneapolis/Downtown! The location couldn’t have been more perfect, especially since I was attending an event at the Target Center, which was just a short walk away on the Sky Bridge. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service. Huge shoutout to Natalia, who went above and beyond from check-in to check-out. She was so friendly and attentive, making sure everything was perfect for my stay. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Minneapolis!

I called the hotel a day before my trip, and the staff was very helpful in answering my questions. Upon check-in, I had questions and wanted recommendations for restaurants; again, the staff was very helpful! Location is amazing if you want to be central downtown and use the Skywalk to get to Taget Center or Taget Field. Loved having my name displayed on the TV as recognition for being a HH member as I walked into the room! It's the little things, and that started my stay off right!

This is a great hotel. It's extremely well run and very clean. The location is great if you're in town for a sporting event as we were (it's attached to Target Field) and it's also just on the Northern end of downtown. The parking can be a bit tricky to figure out, but the kind and helpful staff at the front desk will walk you through it if needed. Would definitely stay again and recommend it!

My wife and I stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites Minneapolis/Downtown when we saw a show at 1st Avenue. It was great. Reasonably priced, clean rooms that had everything we needed. The hotel was clean and secure which we appreciate. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.
