My goodness, I absolutely love Middle Eastern food! They are a grocery store, bakery and a restaurant in one. When I'm traveling I look for international cuisine when possible. Holy Land didn't disappoint. They have parking in the back, you can enter also. I didnt buy anything at the grocery store, but all the reviews speak about all the goodies. Upon entering customer service was professional and helpful. You place your order at the register before finding a seat. They will give you a number for your table. The food is reasonable priced for the huge amt of food they give you, be prepared. Tip: you may want to share with someone. We ended up taking leftovers back to hotel. All the food was so delicious, fresh and packed with flavor! Even if your a vegan you will enjoy all the other food choices. This is a must try it your in town, dont miss this treat! Yasss, I will be visiting again.

Oh my goodness, I love this place. Even if you just go in for the market and don't stop in the restaurant, you will find so many goodies! If you like Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Just be aware, the portions are GIGANTIC. Be prepared to get a box or be stuffed. I love the falafel with tahini sauce and cannot say no to the Konafeh. It sounds so strange, but it is oddly the best thing I have ever tried. The mix of cheese, dough, and that syrup is just (chef's kiss). Staff are always super friendly and will help if you have questions.

This is my go to. When I get that itch, it's my Mediterranean fix! This place is unassuming and right in the center of Minneapolis's boiling pot of amazing food joints. I love the shawarma and often get the falafel. They have a grocery store connected that sells all the Mediterranean goods you want. Go here, get here, be here!

We had a great experience at Holy Land. The counter service was very quick and our food also arrived quickly. We had the chicken shawarma and chicken gyro entree and they were delicious. One entree could definitely feed multiple people. The workers were so friendly and one even gave us free baklava. We will definitely be going back!

Love holy land for so many reasons. It's huge and is a grocery store, bakery, and restaurant. Grocery store - My favorite thing to buy here is the tahini! It's miles better than your typical clumpy grocery store tahini. They also have a huge range of spices and dried beans/lentils at an affordable price. Restaurant - They have a huge menu and are very friendly towards dietary restrictions (vegan and gluten free options are plentiful on the menu). Portions are also huge and you get a great amount of food for the price. And the food is pretty tasty. I paid about $6 for a small hummus (includes pita) and $9 for the spinach pie and it was enough food to feed 1.5 to 2 people. Reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5: On the menu, the spinach pie picture is labeled vegan but in the description, it's written that there's feta in the order which is obviously not vegan. I asked the nice woman working whether the feta comes on the side and whether it's possible to remove it. She seemed confused about the discrepancy and told me that the spinach pies are vegan and she thinks it will be fine. When I opened my box, there was feta on the side. Luckily I was able to still eat the pie but I found it strange that she was unable to add a note in the system saying "no feta". It sucks to waste food, but maybe she was new. Tips: - They do have a small parking lot in the back (entrance on Central Ave). There's also free street parking in the area. - The desserts/pastries in the restaurant looked absolutely delicious including the baklava, honey cake, and kunefe. For a split second, I was regretful about being vegan. - Fair state brewing is across the street and allows outside food. I got my food to go and ate it there with a beer. Good option if you're looking for a beer with your meal!

I found this restaurant while searching for places to eat last night....what a gem! Huge menu with lots of choices. Order at the counter and find a table...they give you a number and bring out your food. Fresh and hot and flavorful! Don't forget to check out the interesting grocery store attached to the restaurant...lots of cool stuff you don't find in a regular grocery store! Enjoy!

My old favorite has fallen on messy times. I was there on12/28/23 the place was dirty, messy, tile falling off of the walls by the exit. bread stored by the entry way. This whole place needs a cleaning. The food was just okay but the pistachio baklava had walnuts in them I am allergic to walnuts. My mouth swelled up after eating them. I hope they clean up their act. before some one gets really sick.

Cold food. Slow service and my stomach still hurting from that take away. Please train your staff on customer and food handling.

Amazing gyro meat and chicken. Salad and appetizers great as well. Falafels some of the best I’ve had. Service is very fast, friendly and portions are very generous. Menu is big, lots of options to choose from. Also has a grocery store attached, large parking lot. Definitely recommended if you enjoy middle eastern food.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious! I got a chicken gyro with tzatziki sauce which was amazing! Although very big and hard to hold, very delicious and easy to eat with a fork. The grape leaves were amazing and delicious, so was the warm pita with hummus. The bathrooms are nice and accessible. The store attached looked nice but I didn't explore it. Parking is available on the street in front of the establishment and in the rear parking lot. Worth trying, great place!Parking: I think the parking lot is free, I didn't use it. Managed to score a spot on the street out front.Kid-friendliness: Very nice people, many different options on the menu.

Bought a pound of Goat meat thinking it was like stew meat. It is just bones and little meat. 7.49/Lb. A waste. A better deal is Costco 15lb box of goat meat cubes. For line 45 dollars. Thank you

Ate in. Gyro / Chicken plate. $21.95. Food (a lot of it) came to table in about 2 minutes. Not hot, meat was dry, lacking flavor. Condiments including Taziki sauce come in premade packs. Free dessert (namoura) was good. I had been here years ago and remembered the food being excellent.

This is another Guy Fieri Diner, Drive-ins and Dives stop we wanted to try. After having it I can't believe it took us so long. Amazingly friendly staff in the grocery store and restaurant. We ordered the Foule Medumas Fava Beans...holy smokes it was . As Guy would say, "You could uit that on a flip flop and eat it." My wife got the gyro salad and I got the Holy Land chicken. The gyro salad was great and the Holy Land chicken was out of this world...I could have had just the chicken and been happy. On top of it all, one of the workers brought us a couple of pieces of dessert a piece of olive oil cake and baklava(best I've had). Afterwards we shopped in the market and were impressed by the helpfulness of the staff there as well. This is a Mediterranean Cossetta's...we will be back again and again.
