Building stinks. Water leaks from upstairs and comes to your house; you would see a fat bubble of paint coming off your wall; you are going to poke it, and water just spills. I think the building owners don’t have money to fix things! maintenance does not do any work. They just say they did the work without doing it. Thank God I found a better place.

I just spent 20 min helping a disabled person walk across the sidewalk in front of Hope Community. Four days ago we received 6 inches of snow. Rather than shoveling, as is required in Minneapolis, Hope Community left the hindrance for the dozens of people who use their sidewalk every day to navigate. So it's been stomped into solid ice.The small woman I helped had on a backpack and a duffel bag slung cross her back. With a cane in each hand she progressed at a rate of about 6 in./min. in her effort to get to the bus stop. I gave her a ride home, but there's no way she would've made it in time.Shame on Hope Community for not doing the bare minimum to allow disabled people to move about after a snowfall.

An amazing example of perseverance, hard, hard work, collaboration & cooperation and what do you get?4 corners transformed from drug use and despair into affordable housing , eyes on the street, a community and safety.Hope Community welcomed us to use a true neighborhood space for a dialogue on alternatives in affordable housing.A beautiful building.One of FOUR built for those in need of truly affordable housing and NOT the ridiculous metric being used by the City.Thank you Alan Arthur of AEON housing not for just making this happen ~ for INSISTING that this happen and for working tirelessly for the decades it took to complete!
