idk man, I moved in a few months ago and things are ok, but they don’t tie up loose ends very well.for what I’m paying, I want the coffee machine to work, I want there to be dog treats at their dog treat counter (~30% success rate) and I want the amenities, such as the outdoor grills, to be taken care of properly.$1460/mo is steep, but acceptable if you’re getting the things they promised you. unfortunately that’s not always the case.Front desk is great, though.

I requested a tour online, received email saying that it is not confirmed, the office will contact me shortly to confirm the tour. So I waited three days and no one contacted me.I called the office and the lady sounded like I owe her money. I explained what happened and she just said ohh you should wait for them to call you. She finally wrote my name and phone number down and said that she’ll let the leasing team know. It’s been five days now and I never heard from them again.Just don’t waste my time and stop the “request tour” function on the website if you’re just ghosting people.

HQ is the best first apartment I could have asked for. I love how quickly they address maintenance issues and how little you can hear your neighbors. The amenities deck is a fantastic place to hangout as well!

I previously left a one star review for this building. Management has made some big improvements since. HQ is now somewhere I would recommend living.

This used to be a 5-star building. However, management has recently changed and the amenities, services, security, and building condition in general have taken a sharp decline. Even snow removal this season has been careless.Above all, communication with the residents has been pitiful - especially compared to the timely, helpful communications we were used to with the previous manager. We have reached out to the new management on numerous occasions to address our concerns and we’ve only heard excuses (no ownership taken for current conditions) and seen no improvement. We have lived here for three years and agree that we would not recommend this building to others at this time. After years of top-notch service, we’ve suddenly found ourselves living in an unorganized, understaffed, and unprofessional environment.EDIT March 2023:I am increasing my rating of the building from two stars to three stars. While there's still room for improvement, staffing levels have improved and communication has increased dramatically. Lisa is extremely helpful and Faisa is very friendly and kind. A majority of the building condition/upkeep issues at the property have been addressed - including snow removal. On a separate, positive note, Joe, James, and the building custodians do a great job maintaining the actual units, providing quick and complete resolution to any repair request.

Clearly this company could care less about their residents or potential NEW residents. Emailed days ago and it took them well over a day to send a generic response, I replied immediately and have yet to hear anything back from them. I definitely do not want to rent from a company who doesn't care for their residents. Don't waste your time here...

I had left a 5 start review earlier this year, but am changing it. I used to love HQ, but it’s gotten very frustrating. The old manager, Brandon, left as well as some pretty professional staff. Since then, the new staff and the new manager haven’t seemed friendly or that they care about anything. Last year, the power went out for a whole day and they bought us Pizza Lucé and kept us informed the whole day. This year, the power went out again and we were lucky to get some cold Dominos by 6 pm.The apartments have little to no ventilation and the windows / balcony doors have huge drafts. It’s pretty cheaply built for a “luxury” building. The people that live in the building are kinda stuck up and using the gym is always a pain. People will be on their phones for their entire workout and spend over an hour on the same equipment before moving. Overall, not really enjoying HQ anymore.

Not sure about the new manager and receptionist here. I miss Sarah. Sarah was on point. I haven't seen her in a week and I miss her. My birthday was yesterday. My friend delivered my gift on Friday and the new receptionist hasn't bothered to send me notification of the delivery. Sarah would never miss something like that. Now I gotta go in the pile of unorganized stuff to see if my gift was delivered. Really miss Brandon and Sarah here.

I've been living here for the last couple of months and have been enjoying it a lot. The management is great and very engaging (always looking for ways to improve both the apt and community experience), the building is typically pretty clean, and the whole premise is well built with some nice amenities. They have a lot of nice events going on throughout each month as well, so if you're interested in meeting other people or having free food it can be pretty nice. Can't say there's much to complain about, and with the rent prices being very reasonable and maintenance requests getting fulfilled quickly, it has so far been worth the value. Thus far, there are only a few minor negatives. For one, our apartment does not have ceiling lighting in the living room or both bedrooms, and with the ceilings being vaulted in the penthouses, it's tough to properly light the place with just a few lamps. Not sure why they have light switches in these areas (and presumably the proper electrical work in place) with no lights or fixtures. The second thing is that the sink contains no garbage disposal, which is a slight inconvenience when washing dishes. Nonetheless, the apartment is still very nice, with high-end Whirlpool washer/dryer and KitchenAid kitchen appliances that show that they didn't try to skimp out on quality. The last nitpick I'd mention is that I wish the gym was better equipped with free-weight equipment, such as a squat rack, barbell bench press (instead of a Smith machine), and maybe some larger dumbbells. Any weightlifter knows that a Smith machine is pretty inferior compared to a barbell bench press, so it's a bit tougher to get a good workout in, but with some creativity you can usually get the job done. I understand most apartments do this for liability-sake, but having just these 2-3 things (which often come together in a simple compound power rack for squats and bench press) provides such a high ROI to all residents, as it allows residents to save the money they'd pay on a gym and just workout here. I know there are probably many people who would sign to live here just for the fact that it has a well-equipped gym, as many other apartments in the area do not have such a setup and this would easily convince them over. Seems to me like a no-brainer, especially given that these power racks only cost a few thousand dollars (which would be easily be paid back in the number of new residents it would attract each year, increasing the apt's occupancy rate and potentially allowing them to even charge more for rooms given the improved amenity). I get that most apartment gyms will look like this (so it's not that much of a con given that it's just the norm), but I think it's an opportunity for HQ to differentiate itself. The second point I'd mention is that I wish the gym was better serviced. The benches they have and some other equipment could use some maintenance as screws have came loose and are somewhat unusable at times. Nonetheless, the gym gets the job done and is good enough, but if there was anything I wish they'd improve, it would be that.Either way, I would definitely recommend checking this place out. Great value and a nice place right near downtown!

I moved into HQ Apartments in late August. My roommate and I absolutely love loving here so far. The view is amazing; waking up and watching the sunrise from my bedroom window is one of my favorite things (I attached a photo of my view).Other Things I like:- The location! HQ is close to where I work and a ton of stores/restaurants/breweries- The Staff! Everyone is SO friendly and kind- The Amenities! The guest suites available for residents to reserve for friends/family are great. My mom now always has an affordable place to stay when she visits me and my brother.-Wine Wednesdays
