Terrible service. Filed my taxes incorrectly and refuse to rectify the issue. They refuse to answer the phones and just let them ring until it goes to a national call center. Mary (Supposed Manager) lied about sending my return of fees paid on separate occasions. This has been ongoing for months and is still not resolved.

Sadly all the negative comments may be True. Based on my experience I would not recommend.
I went in office 3/5 with all documentation to file my 2023 and 2022 W-2 & CRP. I paid almost $400 for everything to be filed.
My W-2 for 2023 was filed and I received those benefits I’ll grant that.
My tax professional was Annetta K Johnson.
She informed me that it’ll take about 6 weeks for 2022 documents to show on the IRS website as well as my check will be mailed so it’ll take awhile.
Granted that she’s been doing her profession for a while I took her word.
Like she stated it takes about 6 weeks to show in the system… it’s been about 4 months and it’s still not in the system!
The beginning of May I called her to verify if everything was okay and questioned why I couldn’t find my information on the IRS website. I also called and spoke with a representative who told me it was nothing on her end.
Anyways, Ms. Annetta informed me that everything was fine and that she’ll resubmit the E-file. She was sure to let me know everything was fine and never informed me on any issues.
The entire May and it’s still nothing. I finally called the H&R Block on Lake Street after calling the West Broadway location numerous times with no answer.
Edson Yanez G. was my tax professional at the L.S location. He was very helpful and knowledgeable.
With his help he informed me that my 2022 W-2 and both CRPs from 2022& 2023 weren’t filed either! She also put a note after I called her stating that I did not have all of my documents which I fact I did!!
He went ahead and submitted my 2022 W-2. My tax refund was accepted today! Literally while I’m writing this so that than lets me know she made things harder then it needed to be.
Unfortunately, I have to go to another H&R Block to file my CRP which is very inconvenient with me working two jobs back to back. Not to mention I have to wait even longer now to receive my funds.
I feel mislead and I feel like my money was stolen right in front of my face. I paid for a service and the service was not even halfway completed, not to mention I was lied to.
I’m a very reasonable person and I have patience but lying about doing a service I spent my hardworking money on!?? That’s a violation and I feel disrespected more disappointed than anything. Mistakes happen I get it but how do you mess up this bad and lie about it?
Again, it’s no answer so now it’s to this point.
I’m sure it’ll be no compensation for the errors and work not completed on Ms. Annetta’s behalf sadly.
Hopefully if you’re reading this please stay cautious and attentive about your documents and what’s going on because this can easily be you next. I know better so know I’ll do better.
It’s no hard feelings for you either Ms. Annetta.

Gentleman at the front was very friendly but the woman pushing him out the door ( hurrying him to close up, an hour and 20 minutes early btw) was very rude. I don’t know why, but the businesses in this particular strip mall, tend to be very rude and are ALWAYS closing early! This lady was very rude and my taxes are messed up not to mention. My tax rep told me I owed 8,000.00 to state and when I told her that wasn’t right (I don’t pay state taxes) she “fixed” something quick n I owed nothing after that. Then I get a letter from IRS saying my taxes aren’t completed, more information is needed. I file my taxes the same exact way every year, not sure what was missed, but when we met in person, she was seeming to have a lot of troubles as well. I wouldn’t go to this location again if you paid me. Ran down to the Central ave location, after the early closing, and they helped me out immediately! I would chose anywhere but here!
