Booked a second look appointment with h&R over the phone and they sent me to this location. They gave me no inclination that a second look guarantee cost money. What a waste of my time.

The tax professional know how to use the H&R tax software very well, but I was under the impression that he didn't have the necessary experience or knowledge to advise me or give me recommendations on specific topics, like my saving bonds.

Worst service. My parents taxes were done wrong TWICE!! THIS IS INSANE! The workers aren't willing to accept this fault which is UNPROFESSIONAL. I am extremely disappointed in the service. No refund, no apologies, nothing!!! Never coming back ever! Avoid this place.

I would highly recommend the Lake Street H & R Block for tax preparation. Karina Vazquez was extremely knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. She was very patient and explained everything in a way that I could understand. Five Stars for sure!

I tried filing my taxes online and dropped off my documents via digital dropbox. I got an automated message saying that my tax pro was reviewing my documents. I sent an email to my tax pro after 3 days waiting for an update. I got no response. My only means of communicating with my tax pro was through the H&R Block website. I could not find which location she worked for. I had to resort to calling customer service. Customer service told me their information and scheduled a call-back appointment for the branch to call me later that day. I didn't get a call-back. Now that I had the branch's number, I had two options: 1.) call the branch and speak with them directly; 2.) call customer service, again. I called the branch. I was directed to my tax pro's extension but she was unavailable so I left a voicemail. After all the waiting, I also decided to just call customer service to see if they could offer an alternative. Customer service offered to schedule an appointment; I adamantly agreed given that they didn't call the first time a call-back appointment was made. The customer rep also offered to write a feedback on my behalf, I also adamantly agreed. After my conversation with customer rep that's when I finally get a call from the branch. They told me that my tax pro was now in trouble. I felt very uncomfortable about the situation. I was now speaking with a different tax pro from the same branch. He told me that they could not find my documents, but why did it take you so long to contact me? After email and leaving a voicemail, it took a customer rep to intervene and to write a letter on my behalf for you to call me.I obliged and sent my documents again through my new tax pro's phone. The following day I returned their call to confirm my S.S and to setup an appointment.I went to the H&R Block branch and I spoke to neither one of my tax pros and was assigned to someone else. I waited 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment, but it didn't even take 5 minutes until I was out the door. I felt unwelcome given that they read the review the customer rep wrote for me and the experience to follow. The person I briefly worked with logged on and it looked as if he was just clicking in arbitrary places. When he could not find my documents online he was upset with me for not having brought my documents but I had uploaded it twice! Once through the website, and the other through the second tax pro's phone I was assigned to. I told him that I've been trying to file since April. He put his card in front of me and told me to send it through his phone, but I didn't have the files with me. We sat there for a minute in silence until I excused myself and left. When I stated that I needed to leave because I was upset his response was "ok, you can go".I left not having taken his card because I was so frustrated; I don't remember his name. I didn't want to make a scene and was baffled about my whole experience. As I cooled off and walked away, I wondered "why didn't he just ask me to log into my account and access the documents through there?" I felt that he was impatient with me and that I was not welcome. Also, I dropped off my documents via digital Dropbox on April. The first time I heard from the branch was the last week of the deadline, on May 12th. When we made an appointment for me to come in, I had to come in on the 17th as that was their only availability. You not only didn't respond to my email or voicemail but got ahold of me at the last week before the deadline. I managed to come to our scheduled time but didn't even get to file my taxes.Honestly, I was okay given the fact that my first tax pro never contacted me or that I had to resend my documents. I was able to power through that. It wasn't until I went to the branch and experienced poor customer service and felt compelled to write a review and not have a customer rep write it for me this time.Take what you will from this message but I truly hope that you are professional enough
