Just finished the {SOLD OUT} "Bring Your Kids!" experience and I must insist that you should attend a show where the box office crew sing the theme song to "Zombie" by the Cranberries.

Best thing in Uptown. We start every night out with a comedy show. Incredible community and performers, and it’s a non-profit! They sell beer at the shows which is a plus. Laughed out loud at Temps, the Mess, the Life Robotic, and Shrieking Harpies (an improvised musical!). Recommend it with my whole heart.

The best thing about our experience was the next-day discussion with one another regarding what makes something funny. My spouse and I are not trained critics. Nor are we inclined toward criticism (speaking of our general dispositions). Our thoughts: Unexpected (as in the telling zagged when I expected it to zig). True and relatable as in “I’ve had that very thought.” Witty and articulate similar to the post-bickering feeling expressed as, “Oh! Dang! I should have said _____!” except stated timely. Novel, fresh, and unique as in words not heard before, an affect which is curious, pleasant (enough), engaging and expressive. Our experience at HUGE Improv was rather otherwise.Awkward. Forced. Embarrassing. Laden with over-used colloquia. I went hoping to laugh. Spontaneously. Twice (maybe thrice) I laughed. Highlights of my near 2-hour experience: Cheerwhine soda, unexpectedly clean and contemporary restroom, entrance-adjacent curbside parking (which reflects low attendance), and our next-day musing. Why would anyone be drawn to attempt Improv? For the cast we observed, perhaps it was a face-your-fear-like therapy assignment.

One of the best locations for improv theater in the Twin Cities area! There's always a place for you here either on the theater stage, in a classroom setting, in a fun off stage jam session, or in the audience on nearly all days of the week! Plus, the people that are all involved with the theater (not just in the administrative positions at the theater, but the individual performers and community members) are very welcoming and open to newcomers to the vast, weird, kinda surreal, and occasionally "what" improv of the Twin Cities.

I took all four eight week improv courses here and they were AMAZING. If you are on the fence about taking classes, DO IT

HUGE has been incredibly welcoming. Loved my improv 101 class with Jen and Justine, signed up immediately for the Improv Fest and had amazing teachers for Shakespearean and Musical Improv workshops. They are reasonably priced with scholarships and are huge into boundaries and creating safe spaces in a way that I had never seen before. It feels like a home away from home. Would definitely recommend it here.

What a fun, semi-random romp through a live action improv of dungeons and dragons. I have never actually played the game but loved the show. I may have missed an inside joke or two. But I didn't feel the least bit out of place. A super fun show.

The first "improv" group last was horrible. Their act was disturbing and stupid as they sat there and moaned and chirped. Will never see that group againThe group was called Twigs Child and it was horrible and disturbing

An amazing comedy club. I always go Friday nights but other nights are great too.
