I drove for this company for about three years. Left late last year and when I just applied for a new job with a different company they reported me for having an accident that never occurred, and didn’t report that I was not able to prevent an accident when I was towed into another vehicle.

I wouldn't even give this place one star but for the sake of this review, i am. The way this place talks to and treat their drivers unbelievable. Chris/Kris from safety she is one rude, disrespectful, nasty, EVIL woman when she's talking to drivers. I KNOW SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE complained about her several times and to hear even more drivers have complained about how disrespectful she is and for the Koch family to keep allowing this to happen to their drivers from this woman says ENOUGH. These drivers are fed up with the level of disrespect and wants to continue to work for the company but not under that kind of disrespect. I work for the Better business bureau of Investigation and I am doing my reports on her and this company since no one will sit her down and talk to her about how she talks to people. She owes some of these drivers an apology. You're supposed to treat your drivers with the upmost respect and from the call I was added to with her a week ago says alot about this company. You don't treat your drivers like they are beneath you. Koch talk to your employees in office because this is getting out of hand. When all of your drivers are saying the same things you know the problem starts with your office personnel.

Just started here and the people here are wonderful. Everyone has been very helpful and the equipment is immaculate. They tell you they are going to get you miles and they do. Very pleased so far.

Respectful business. Drivers are friendly and have plenty of good things to say about the trucking company.

Racist don't care for black drivers at all. They don't do facility tours for new drivers so myself and another driver was given permission to check out the harding st terminal. After going by myself 5 minutes of arrival was met by Minnesota police saying I'm trespassing. After explaining to the officers I've just completed my first day of orientation one of koch employees come out telling the officers I have no business being there. I showed my recruiters emails even the plane ticket. Was kicked off property after koch employee could not identify who I was. Even after trying to introduce myself to the other employee who was very racist carrying around torque bar and not wanting to shake my hand. Was sent home right before receiving my truck cause I didn't wanna fall asleep in orientation so I decided to stand and stretch making the white man uncomfortable for some reason guess cause i was the only black person in the class. Actually hurt my feelings koch been calling me since January to join there best buy account guess I sound white on the phone.

Just don't. They lie, once in they want you to work everyday. With little to no home time. I've done more free labor here then any other carrier ever...

This company is better than most big companies out there. They do a great job of weeding out the snowflakes at orientation. The recruiters here lied to me the least of all previous companies. 8/10 for recruiters. DM was good. He wasn't over shoulder constantly yet was there to answer any concerns. Only time we talked was if I called him.9/10 for DM. Equipment was top notch. If any problems they quickly got it fixed. Great shop personal. 8/10 for shop. I was on dedicated account and worked mon-fri. Home wknds. Couldn't be happier with this schedule. 10/10 on schedule. If needed time off,, all I had to do was let them know. They didn't push you very hard on deadlines.. Pay was consistent. If I ran hard during week, I was grossing $1800+/wk. I ran steady most weeks. Stopped for day at 1700 and still grossed about $1500 avg. 9/10 on pay. Over all, I would recommend company. Only reason I left after 5yrs was due to medical reasons.

Even with promises in writing, this company lied about everything from the beginning. Once at orientation they have you captive. My experience was so bad from the beginning. The company doesn't value your time and micromanages from the beginning. The orientation in Appling was done via video conference with so much lag you miss the videos. The facility is nice, yet is not maintained or cleaned daily.During orientation I found out that the pay is not as advertised, stop pay is not for all stops as described by recruiter, and cart pay for loading only on return carts. I was put in a freightliner with 418,000 miles on it, is a Ryder truck that is sub serviced by Koch National Lease. Truck had just come back from the detail shop. You would expect it to be somewhat clean. It had seven sets of books issued at orientation, trash and personal belongings from previous drivers, and not even remotely cleaned. No mattress. No permits, no toll pass, cracked windshield and Wabco system controller cracked and inoperable. The cruise control didn't operate, TriPac wouldn't cool. Ryder won't work on the truck and Koch shop doesn't have license for software to fix issues in Detroit diagnostics. Mechanics send you out with no repairs, and tell you parts will be in when you return and items will be fixed, only to find out they lied.Sign on bonus was $6,000 not the $7500 agreed to in writing. Club Car account runs all 48 and Canada, not the southeast as advertised. Starting pay was .60cpm not .70cpm promised from recruiter. Stop pay is $30, but not for every stop dispatched. Paid $4 for each cart loaded on return, not for every cart loaded and unloaded as advertised. Club Car requires trucks to travel at 69mph minimum. Truck issued was set less, and couldn't be adjusted because the multi million dollar company that owns it's equipment outright and is not over 3 years old, is too cheap to purchase the licensing for the software for the 27 trucks it operated that are 400-500k mile eight year old trucks. They promised a brand new Volvo tractor, another lie. But wait, you drive this trashed out truck, that has no cruise, till the lease on it is up, and we will put you in the truck we promised you then!No training, you are sent out with seasoned drivers on fleet loads with other new drivers. No communication from the lead driver, no training, just fend for yourself. Ryder trailers are worn out and pushing DOT compliance. Safety equipment and pins are missing on most trailers. Forcing you to unload the carts on unsecured ramps. Koch trailers require a special key to get ramps unlocked. Evidently there are two keys, one which I don't have. Had to unload top decked carts, readjusting each time to move ramps to unload from trailer, where two sets are normally required. There is no dedicated or assigned dispatchers. So if you can get someone to answer the phone you may be able to get assistance needed. After 5pm you are on your own. No one returns calls, answers texts with questions or fully communicates with you to ensure that you have a solid understanding. There is so much more to share that went wrong, was not as advertised or promised, or was just an outrageous lie. I have never worked at a place that just about everyone you encounter lies freely with no recourse or consequences.

I love this company. The absolute best job I ever had. I'd like to contact Dan Smith if he's still there. I recommend this company because the staff really cares about the drivers. The pay is excellent. If you're looking for the Best, you found it with Stan Koch and sons.

Regional Manager Rick will talk to you like you are a dog and refuse your sign-on bonus at the end of a year, even if dispatch approves or gives you the option of turning down one load offer for another one. Company has a slick way of stealing from you and not backing up what the recruiter advertises.

I strongly suggest you find a better driver than this one. August 14th 12:30 pm, this guy pulls out in front of me from a stop sign. I was doing the posted speed. All I see is the short truck and not the 30 foot low boy trailer he is towing. You are at a stop sign and have a 30 foot trailer and you pull in front of a fast moving car ? The 33 year old car you just cut in front of, just had all new brakes installed. That's the only thing that saved you equipment Mr Koch !

The best trucking company I ever work for. They was great they kept me busy I didn't set for a long period of time if you wanted a load you got the loads. I received my flatbed experience through them. I was the type that never liked to go home I like to stay out there and run and run. The dispatchers was wonderful the owners of the company Cook family they are wonderful great I miss my old company I miss my old company. I lost both of my parents I was there when I lost my sister and they was there the company was there. Miss my old company I really do the best company. I also bought my truck through them on the lease purchase program a very very nice Volvo they are a great company.

I drove for Koch almost 4 yrs. I just recently left the company back in March of 21. It's a really good company to drive for. The Koch family are very nice people. I can't say to much about some of the staff. Some (and I use that term loosely) are just not people persons. The mechanics are totally awesome, i like all of them. I left Koch on good terms. I give the Koch family 5 stars because they were very nice to me. I would go back to them if I ever had to. And I'm not the kind of person to go back to a company after I quit... but the Koch family I would.
