Always a pleasure to shop here when we visit family close by. The store, personal, premium tasting products and atmosphere all make it worth while.

was there on Saturday September 30th for samples hoping to buy some new things. The people giving samples were very rude they didn't know much about the product I wanted to buy and they person doing the brownies were was very rude and cold she said only one brownie even there were two different kinds to buy. Poor trained staff spend your money else where

As a disclaimer, this is only the second Kowalski's location that I have visited. Firstly, this business is located on a high-traffic street and has hopelessly inadequate parking. Minor traffic jams can be caused when patrons simply want to park or leave. As other reviewers have noted, the store is not well lit and the prices at this location are often shockingly marked up. I used to liken the wares as to Aldi merchandise at Whole Foods prices, but on consideration, the prices can make Whole Foods look like a bargain, especially when taking into account the quality differential. People who live or work in the immediate vicinity of the store might find the convenience of shopping here appealing, but those traveling here from any distance to speak of may want to reconsider.

I despair at what Kowalskis has become. I was not a regular shopper there before the pandemic. I lived near the Grand Avenue store, and loved how small it was and how fast it was to get out of there. The variety of products, and gourmet/ready to eat was also nice. People would say it was expensive, but to me it was worth a bit more. Having moved to Highland Park, it was easier to go to a more local store. But I would still pop in to Kowalskis from time to time. Price wise, it shouldn't have been much different from where I was shopping...oh, but it was. Each time I was noticing consistent jumps that bordered on insulting. So what's my point? Well, I'm not asleep to the fact that inflation is knocking the wind out of all of us. Just about and product you can name has gone up not only the government quoted 10% (Sorry I have to belly laugh at this) the norm I'm finding is 20-50%. So, unfortunately I have to say almost nothing shocks me. However, I was in the Woodbury area today and a friend said there was a Kowalskis nearby. I didn't have much to get so that seemed fine. Nice store. Spacious and clean. Had gourmet frozen selections I would be challenged to find elsewhere. But understand, I'm not talking about those. For pretty basic stuff, that could fill one paper shopping bag, it was $70. I looked at ladies passing, and their carts fairly full thinking , that bill will be $300 easy. I'm not rich anymore. God bless if you are. Maybe they should call it Kowalskis Gold Edition or something. Normal people can shop here, but I'm betting they won't. Good luck Kowalskis, you're gonna need it! Sincerely, A Former Customer

Very good service and produce. I want to thank the deli workers who are sometimes understaffed with no ability to sit. There are some comments from karens or kyles of the deli closing early: no one needs to buy lunch items at like 8 pm. Plan ahead better. There are people at all hours present, too. Quit acting like the world revolves around you. These same people don't even buy from the deli at the times they complain about not having a full spread. calm down.

Closed at 7pm tonight with zero warning supposedly due to “weather” meanwhile everything is open just fine in SW. Pathetic. This is MN. Deal with it, especially with your price$$$ and zombie service. Get over yourselves. ?????

Wonderful to have Kowalski's Market Lyndale in my neighborhood. I really appreciate the time and attention they put into their own products and deli, the friendly and helpful staff, and for my money, the most beautiful and creative store and storefront to be found in the Twin Cities. Check it out!

This place is one of the best parts of living here. Produce is good quality, the meat and cheeses are top quality, and there is a good selection.Yes, the prices are not as low and the quantities are not as large as at a store like Costco or Target, but the point of this store is completely different. I walk here many days a week to buy a few things at a time, instead of going once a week to buy many things all at once. Doing this has improved my standard of living considerably in my opinion: I waste less food, get more exercise, and see more members of my community on a regular basis. I wish every neighborhood had a store like this.

This location is very organized. The parking lot is a bit tight, there's street parking available. Produce is one of a kind (extremely fresh) Staff were helpful.
