Michael's Lamp Studio is a family-owned business that has been a beacon in Minneapolis since 1972. It offers an unparalleled and comprehensive selection of lamps and lampshades, among the widest in the Midwest, along with expert lamp repair services. Customers describe it as a wonderful shop and a gem of a place with good old fashioned service you cannot get at big box stores. The shop provides excellent and professional service, with helpful and kind staff. They are known for their reasonable costs and do very nice work. They fixed a lamp switch right away without charge and helped another customer find a perfect shade for a 35-year-old lamp. The store has lots of parts, shades, and finials on hand. Staff take time to give clearly explained help, whether for a repair or for supplies to do a project yourself. Walking into the shop, you see all of the wonderful items. Many customers highly recommend this store and will definitely go back again.
Went there during the summer, but still thinking about how sweet the owner is!!! I hope to go back sometime soon, sadly, it is just kinda far from me. He was very helpful and I absolutely loved the selection that they have. 10/10
