These aggressive jerks like to harass homeless people for some reason. I did not realize they were trained by the same people that train the cops

You were sitting at the Robbinsdale Hyvee and my fire-truck-obsessed 2 year old and I happened to need some groceries. I stopped and let him look at a distance. The man at the back of your ladder truck hopped out and offered to take our picture. I was so blown away by the kindness and how quickly your guy recognized an opportunity to make a little kid’s day! I hope I never need to call you, but would trust you if I ever did. Thank you for what you do!Update: I see a lot of reviews about a response to a fire involving a pet. Tragic as it may be, it looks to have happened in response to someone cremating an animal in a very weird way that if it is legal, it shouldn’t be. A lot of people chose to take to the Internet to condemn the fire department. The negative-review-blast that has resulted on the Internet here truly detracts from the credibility of such an agency that exists only to help us. Don’t pay attention to the nonsense. Use your own brain.

I agree. This day and age a little bit of empathy goes along way. Remember when you were told “if you wouldn’t do or say this in front of your mom or grandma… don’t do it” COME ON GUYS… DO BETTER OR QUIT

I just saw a video on TikTok, showing a woman having a ceremony for her deceased pet with a controlled fire in the SNOW. The Minneapolis fire department then shows up and STEPS on her beloved pets BODY, and kicked snow on top as well, before even giving her a chance to explain why there’s a fire. Absolutely disgusting, inhumane behavior. I understand a neighbor called in a fire but they acted just as recklessly as modern day police. Acting before investigating. It was not a life threatening situation, it did not need a drastic solution. Appalled and disappointed.

Disgusted by the behavior displayed. Sure, do your job but as a public servant it’s also your job to show compassion and SERVE the public. Could have easily asked them to put the fire out and waited for them to do so. Claiming you don’t care and stomping on a woman’s pet. I hope I never have to rely on this department if my life is in danger.

Stomping on a woman’s dead pet without asking questions before or after. No public apology? If people if the private sector were this bad at their jobs they would be terminated and/or sued. Shame on this person and all his bosses and the entire department

i wouldn’t even have the guts to go home and say to my family “i did a hard days of work” knowing i walked away breaking an already mourning ladies heart by stomping on her dead pet with no questions asked. SMH! no formalapology given to the victim either. i would rather let my house burn to the ground before i allowed this department to come save it.

Absolutely DISGUSTED with this department. It take 3 seconds to ask why there’s a fire, instead of RUDELY stepping on a woman’s deceased pet that she was SAFELY trying to cremate. Like all that snow around that fire but you thought that was the right thing to do ? Then walked away without saying a word to the woman crying ? Obviously the department needs better training sessions and BETTER FIREFIGHTERS. I’ve met inmates nicer than those so called “firefighters.” Absolutely HORRIFIED . I’d let my house burn to the ground before I called this place.

Represented by some disgusting men. Employees lack basic empathy & understanding. — A couple was mourning the loss of their pet by having a small & contained burning, surrounded by inches of snow. Instead of communicating with the mourning couple, the firemen put out the fire by stomping on the pet’s burning body immediately.. horrific.

Absolutely vile and inhumane treatment of a person in mourning- as well as the desecration of a memorial service for a beloved pet/family member. It costs roughly $0.00/hr to be a good person- but these people are getting paid to be evil. Pathetic.
