We love MACC! The staff is so nice and helpful. My daughter is in the preschool program and loves going every day. The garden they are working on is also amazing.

If I could give MACC 10 stars, I would! The teaching staff are second-to-none. Our three boys LOVE going to school at MACC because they feel seen, known and loved as they are. The school is well run; a true community. The lesson plans are developmentally appropriate, creative, and fun! Offerings like yoga, Spanish and gardening, make their days unique. We just love it.

I wish I could give more stars! Our 3 year old started here and we have been blown away by how amazing the care is. They keep the kids busy outside, playing, doing yoga, music, etc. and they are excellent communicators. Every staff person we’ve met is so kind, professional, warm and welcoming. Seriously could not be happier with our experience. Our child is excited to go to school everyday and we feel great as parents knowing she is doing so many fun things and being cared for so lovingly.

We love the daycare “school” but the staff is even better! There are lots of activities planned throughout the day but honestly the staff is super awesome. There is also constant communication as things come up.I am so glad we were able to get into Minnehaha Child Care Center, definitely would recommend!

Full disclosure, I am a teacher at MACC. I have read reviews from two parents of former students who disparaged the school. I taught both children of these parents and can assure you that we tried to work with both sets of parents to mitigate difficult behaviors from their children, but no parental responsibility was forthcoming. Children learn to listen or not listen to adults from parents. Children who are allowed to ignore their parents, also ignore teachers, which presents great challenges to the teachers. Here at MACC, we have recently faced challenges in our staffing but management has eliminated the staff preventing our school from improving itself and we are now making great strides in making MACC the excellent school we knew it could become. We use nature and the natural world around us to open up vistas of opportunities for our students. I invite any interested parents to visit us, take a tour, and stop by my room to say hello. I promise you, you will want to return. I bring science, magic tricks, puppets, nature, and really great books into my room to engage my students. MACC is a school currently involved in and committed to growing, improving, and nurturing your little people to ready them socially and emotionally to enter Kindergarten with confidence and great joy.

We wanted to love MACC. Our kids did seem to have fun while in their care. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by poor communication, disorganization, understaffing, and lack of customer service. At this price point, we expected more. It wasn’t a good fit for our family.Edit to add: thanks for responding. I reached out via the contact form on your website on 12/6. Looking forward to hearing from you.

This preschool and daycare has SO much potential! It’s a great place walking about—it reminds me of my own experience as a young child. Music, play, yoga, a playground, etc. They used to do lots of nature walks and bike to triangle park — now, they don’t so much because of insurance issues (?) The kids do not get outside as much as they did under previous ownership, Some of the teachers/caregivers are amazing, but others not so much. I had to advocate strongly for my child as he moved from the 3 year old classroom to the 4/5 year old classroom. The previous owners had their heart in the right place but weren’t great at communications. And the new owner and director are unfortunately lacking in the education and skill set needed to communicate and nurture small children overall. The new owner has zero experience in child care as far as I am aware. The amount of staff changes the last few months was so disruptive and hard on the kids! I do not agree with many of the tactics being used by the “teachers” and aids/students. I’m not sure what many of the people’s educational background is. Communication and cohesiveness are sorely lacking here. Defensiveness and child-blaming can rule within the older two classrooms. Unacceptable. They seem ill-equipped to handle normal child development often. These are the most important years in your child’s life and if the people around your child all day do not grasp an up-to-date skill set and *education in relation to children it can be detrimental to their well being. I loved my child’s teacher in the 2 year old class, and his last teachers in the preschool class at age 4-5. However—the 3 year old caregiver/“educator” is not equipped to be in charge of that class and should not be with that age group as far as i’m concerned. His demeanor, tactics and lack of nurturing were very detrimental to my child and it SHOWED. Also inappropriate stories and “lessons” for such young kids. My child was upset often. I witnessed this demeanor myself. It was not ok. Zero understanding of emotional regulation or basic understanding of kids in this age group! The two teachers we really liked in the 4/5 year old class both left recently. Many teachers have left. That’s a sign. If you want a truly nurturing environment for your child, I would not recommend MACC unless your child is a toddler in the toddler room with the lovely Teresa. And IF you stay longer i recommend being very active and vocal in advocacy for your child. Be aware of what’s going on day to day with your kid. Again, I hope this school can get it together for these kids because it could be amazing under the right leadership, director and educators/caregivers across the board. It’s a shame.

We have brought both of our kids to MACC. It started with our son for their preschool program (full day), then added the summer program too and once they opened up their toddler room we brought our second child in. We love it there and so do our kids. The staff is always friendly, they send photos, videos and messages throughout the day on their app. They keep an open line of communication and our kids come home talking about their teachers like the friends that they are to them! We love MACC!

Such a lovely, supportive, and well run child care center. They are always able to talk about our child's day and we know our little one is well cared for.
