In my experience every time I go into the cub foods I always encounter racist employees, some of the employees there are not helpful and it seems like they hate their job. Specifically in the customer service department one of the employees was ignoring me and talking with the other worker and he was also on his phone, not only is it disrespectful but if you're paying people like that it's a waste of money.

Typical Cub foods grocery store. They tend to have most of the items I need to feed my family and the prices are good too. This is the hood Cub so it looks a bit run down and the parking lot is always a mess. This cub also has a police office on site for what seems like 24/7. They're currently undergoing renovations so things are out of place and sort of crowded but oh well I guess.

I really like this Cub location. I work nearby, and I don't often think of coming here, but I'm usually happy when I do. The employees are very nice top me, and respectful, every time I'm here. Usually when I stop in it's for something hot from the deli. They do a great job of keeping food in stock, fresh, and hot. The potato wedges are particularly good, and I highly recommend then. I like being able to stop in for a hot lunch, and pick up groceries as well. Keep up the good work! :-)

This Cub and the one in New Hope off of 36th Street and Hwy 100 are my go too Cub locations. This one ALWAYS has my favorite deserts and I love their chicken. I will admit that this location could use A LOT of assistance: the staff aren't friendly, could use customer service training, the lines are horrible, their veggies are sad and there isn't a lot of options for healthy items, but if I want fried chicken or desert, this is my spot. LOL That's about all I stop by here for. I hope they don't close it.

I must admit that I am not overly fond of Cub Foods, in the first place. This is the saddest location I've ever seen. Usually, they're slick in their presentation. It would be a compliment to describe it as lackluster. I didn't make it past the produce section because I was quite dismayed at the offerings. None of the fruit looked fresh or that anyone cared that it didn't. While I don't want to start controversy, I can't help but wonder if this is because the location is in "the hood". I will not be back unless desperate for...well, desperate.

Another favorite Cub foods! This one is near where I live, well organized, and well lit. The deli is fabulous, lots of fabulous items, somebody already mentioned the fried chicken, which is excellent! As with all Cub foods the produce is very fresh and there are organic kinds available also. Love the Asian grocery section, too.... it's so nice that they carry Japanese rice, bread crumbs (PANKO), and also rice crackers! I love that they carry tofu also! I don't have to make a trip to United Noodles (the big Asian grocery store in town) that much thanks to Cub! Thank you!

BEST FRIED CHICKEN IN TOWN!!!!!!! I'm obsessed with how peppery and perfect the breading is. The other Cubs have dull predictable fried chicken. Go to the north location for the best take out fried chicken in town. Seriously good!

BEST 'fried' chicken in town - this review is only for the chicken as I don't shop at this grocery store. The fried (/broasted) chicken is killer--moist, slightly spicy and literally some of the best in the Twin Cities. I also like the smooth/tasty mashed potatoes with gravy. It's not the best area but i've never encountered any issues here outside of a random line jumper and it's a bit odd but one has to pay for the chicken on the spot. I'd assume bc too many customers eat it or walk out before paying...

Have you ever been out, realized you needed coffee, and thought to yourself...where is the best place to wait in line for 20 minutes and potentially get shot in the parking lot? Me either! But if that thought ever crosses your mind, this is your go to grocery store. There's always something questionable going on in the parking lot and the cashiers hate every customer's face. I always get the same reaction when I pay with my debit card..."All of it? On one card? Seriously?"....uh yeah. You think this is a game? This is my neighborhood grocery store, suffice it to say that I drive to NE or Uptown to buy groceries on a regular basis. But if I ever decide I want to become an innocent bystander, I know where to go.

I feel ripped off every time I have to go to this Cub. The only reason I go is for stuff like toilet paper and cold medicine. But I have since stopped going there to buy food on a semi-regular basis. I have observed that the food prices at this cub in particular are actually a bit more expensive than some of the other cubs farther out. I went to a cub a little out of North Minneapolis and stuff was way cheaper! It think they kind of trick people by making them think that since this cub is in the shady part of town, that the prices will be cheaper, but don't buy the hype. The parking lot is disgusting, the carts are dirty, no one seems to want to help you, the lines are long, the food selection is crappy. If you want better service, prices, and atmosphere, just pay the extra gas to go to a different cub. It will be well worth it.

Good location for us when we stay in Forest Lake. I like to go to the international section to try new things. Stuff I've never seen in SC or the south. But all in all it's an average grocery store chain.

I have always had really great luck with this Cub Foods! I recently had an assortment of deli/bakery trays assembled here and the staff was really helpful and prompt. They even helped me carry them out to my car! I have also had really good luck finding quick lunch items, a friendly staff member to help with anything that I needed, and they make rockstar level donuts (don't ask me how or why, but they are solid!). I highly recommend this place.
