Walking through the Midtown Global market corridors we stopped at this place of African art that has jewelry, bags, clothing, masks and even drums that the boy who works there kindly played, showing his talent. I ended up buying a pair of earrings that seemed to be of very good quality at a very good price.

Cool collection and they can get more from artists in Africa. Great customer service. I ordered online during Covid 19 and the shop was closed, but they worked with me so I could pick up the item. Nice folks.

A wide variety of items for sale in a small space. The things they sell are all good quality and reasonably priced based on said quality. Is located in the Global market in theold Sears tower, which has a pay lot for parking, which is only drawback. But walking through the market makes a day of it.

BrotherKing at Simba Craftware always has a sense of dignity about himself and greets me with respect and honor. The items showcased at Simba Craftware are gifts of talent and of the natural excellence of everyday Africans. Thankful for this long-standing staple in Midtown Global Market in South Minneapolis community.

Martin was so helpful! I was so excited to shop here because I've been to a couple countries in Africa. He was able to tell me which country everything came from. I ended up buying a gorgeous cheetah carving from Zimbabwe. 10/10 would go again

This is our favorite shop at the Midtown Global Market. My mom and I both made purchases this afternoon and are very happy with our items. The owner is super friendly and was happy to answer all of our questions. We are already looking forward to our next visit here! :)

I was visiting the midtown market exchange one day. After meeting up with my roommate for coffee I decided to look around at the local arts and jewelry shops. I had walked past Simba Craftware before and noticed their amazing African jewelry. I always have an eye open for quality brass jewelry. The owner was kind and educated me about the bracelet I purchased. It was a gift for someone. Great service! Great quality gift! She loves it!

Wonderful shop with a great proprietor. We can't wait to come back on Sunday and watch the experts and learn to play our new drum from Ghana!

My friend and I were strolling around Midtown Global Market and came across this cute little store with trinkets from over 30 countries in Africa. Martin was a total sweetie and answered all of my friend's questions about the products, especially the drums which my friend was interested in for her son. He looked up the meaning of one symbol that was carved into a drum. He told us not to drum with anything but hands, that the drums were made of goat skin. He showed us the different sounds each drum made and how to tap it in the middle or tap on the sides, and how to stop the sound. We learned that there is a drumming expert that comes in on Sundays at 1 PM and teaches kids and everyone how to drum. The drums are marked at $400 but there were signs around saying half off and he negotiated even below that with a smile. (There is an ATM machine very, very close.) Lastly, my friend left her cell phone on the counter. We were in her car driving away when we realized it so we called her phone and Martin answered. He ran her phone to the exit and gave it to us. See you on Sunday, Martin! Thanks!

Found unique musical instrument gifts for those "hard to gift" friends. Items were well-made and customer service was great, too. Martin was friendly and knowledgeable. I'll definitely go back for future gifting.

I ordered from their online store in October under the impression that it would take 2-3 weeks for my order to arrive. They informed me that my order would take a little longer than expected. 6 weeks later, they told me that the order would not be filled until spring and offered a refund, which I accepted. They only refunded 2/3 of the amount of the item!! In the original order they added items on (which I did not ask for or want) that I was then still charged for! I absolutely will never shop with them again. Buyers beware!
