First time at a EDM concert and I won't like probably one of the best times ever to experience

I frequently head downtown for raves. Skyway being one of the main theatres for EDM music and smaller artists, between the main room and the loft…
I feel like management or whoever the powers are that be are extremely out of touch. Prices are increasing to the same ticket prices as an Armory show….but you aren’t Armory.
Your lack of a/c or ability to cool down the room is getting out of hand. Especially after attending Crankdat and Wooli shows, where both artists said on the mic that it’s “so damn hot in this place”. Maybe you’ll get the hint eventually. And now let’s talk about lack of production compared to similar or smaller venues from other cities…there’s a reason Mission Ballroom is considered a top tier venue. When will these overpacked and raised ticket prices be used to invest into the experience for your patrons? I’m just at a loss for how poor I feel after a Skyway show. Do better

I've been to Skyway a couple times for shows and a couple times for Halloween and they book great acts but when sold out, the venue is awful. They oversell and you're crammed in like sweaty sardines with little ventilation. The drinks are strong and hard to drink. There's very little room to walk, dance, headbang without being on top of each other. I went to a show where they tried to open a mosh pit and couldn't because of how crammed it was. Literally a recipe for disaster. I love some of the artists that come here and the staff I interacted with are pleasant but not sure it's worth the fire hazard.

I’m honestly surprised no one has died there yet. The show I went to was “sold out” but it was obviously over sold. The crowd couldn’t fit in the room and was overflowing out of the doors at the back, it was hot and super humid, and people just kept shoving themselves in. It’s a recipe for people to get killed from pressure at the barricades due to all of the people pressing forward. There was absolutely no way EMTs could ever get through to anyone that might have had a medical emergency. I only saw 2 security guards. One of them was trying to clear an exit from the room and no one would listen to him, so he ended up just walking away. I’ll never go here again. I’d advise others to do the same.

Honestly? Shame on the skyway for allowing the capacity to be what it was. It was difficult to even get into the room with the music. What a horrible experience.

Absolutely terrible. It was so terribly hot in there that I passed out before the concert began! I went to see Little Big and got a spot near the middle of this downward sloped floor which was hard on my ankles. It was getting more packed in there and they started opening music and I blacked out. Thankfully I was caught otherwise I would have hit my head and gotten another concussion. Which I've had 4. When I started to come back to from blacking out. I was LITERALLY DRIPPING SWEAT. I was soaked head to toe in sweat. Staff gave me some ice to cool down which was very helpful.

Main theater is not equipped to host anything you dance to. The floor has a 20% downgrade, and everyone ends up pushed towards the front.
Drink prices were duuuuumb expensive. Water. Same.
