Very cool 0 waste store. they have a surprisingly large assortment of things for how small the store is. Everything seemed very high quality (the prices match that) and lots of locally produced options. The freshly ground peanut butter is amazing, so definitely give that a try! Looking forward to going back!

Cool place. Didn't buy anything, but it has a variety of quality bulk food products (coffee, oils, flour, spices, nuts).

Very kind human working and good selection of products, though I echo other reviews in that many items were out of my price range; I understand that inflation is real and small businesses need to have higher prices, but for this reason I was not able to afford the haul I was hoping for. As a person of color, I also felt very aware that I was in a gentrified, predominately white space. This is not meant to bash the company whatsoever, but I think my expectations were a bit different going in. Still think it’s a cool idea and there were a lot of neat products I hadn’t thought about before!

Staff is friendly and helpful. My questions are welcomed. The vibe is calming and the store smells so good. I keep coming back for: the liquid hair conditioner and argan oil (hubby loves this for his beard). These are bulk items our co-op doesn't carry. I look forward to trying more!

We need more Tare Markets in the world. As a new year’s resolution I decided I was going to eliminate something wasteful in my life each month - permanently. Tare Market helped me do that! I started with body wash - so many plastic bottles! - and love their Oneka Shower Gel - light citrus scent, gently cleanses without over drying. Also love their Hibar Shampoo bars. I’ve replaced cotton balls with washable cotton facial rounds and plastic sandwich bags with Stasher bags. Their sunny slices and chocolate peanut butter cups are SO good.Amber, the founder and owner, is inspiring and a wealth of knowledge on zero waste and conservation. She has a wonderful team following her lead. Thank you for bringing Tare Market to our community!

Fantastic selection of spices, herbs, and basics. They didn't have whole cardamom but they did have everything else on my spice list. I'll be going back for bulk oatmeal, brown sugar, figs, and a few other things. They are eco-friendly, bring your own containers and weigh them before filling. Prices are lower than grocery stores because you aren't paying for packaging. Love this place, highly recommend.

I decided to shop local and really liked this place. It had a great selection of herbs/spices and fruits. The service was great and overall I thought it was just a great selection of natural foods. I would definitely recommend this to other.

I love the concept and the store seems great, but good luck finding parking. I've only been inside once because there has been no parking available the other times I've tried to go there. Wasting the gas driving around and looking for parking defeats the purpose of low/zero waste living.Update. I just found out via a news article that a second location opened in NE, Minneapols (they cited accessibility as one reason for the 2nd location). I live like 5 minutes from this new location and know the parking is much better over there! I'm SO thrilled.

I love coming here to see what new package-free products are available. I also like their recycling program for hard-to-recycle items. We buy some of our bulk items here, primarily household cleaning supplies and human cleaning supplies (soap, shampoo). I love the concept!I think the prices are a little high. You can get a lot of similar bulk items at the co-op or elsewhere for cheaper. I’ve seen identical products $2-$3 cheaper at the Seward Coop.I wish they had some items at a slightly lower price point. For example, I would like to see a regular bar soap that’s in the $2-$3 range. Some products can’t be made cheaper - which I totally understand - but there are some items that have lower price points.

I travel to this store several times a year, mostly to purchase toothpaste tablets, but I always enjoy seeing what else they have in stock or any new items.

First time here. I saw an article about Tare and was going to be in Minneapolis for a yelp event so drove over. Parking is all street parking. I parked on a side street and walked over. The guy working was so nice and answered all my stupid questions. The deodorant was spendy at $14.99. I bought some chocolate coconut squares and dog biscuits. I used the bathroom and tried the bamboo toilet paper. I didn't see a reason to buy at $2.49 a roll. There is a 2% fee to use a card. I paid in cash. Cool concept.

Get yourself to Tare market, either here or their new location in northeast. Fun and knowledgeable shopping experience. First time trying to do zero waste? Don't worry, they won't make you feel bad or d**** just overall encouragement and knowledge about their products and processes. Don't like asking for help?? That's fine too, everything is labeled and laid out to help inform how to weigh, label etc. I buy my homemade local soaps, zero waste shampoo bars, laundry detergent and bulk foods. They have online shopping and they also take hard to recycle items. An all around great concept!!
