About The Dayton's Project
The Dayton's Project is a building that holds a rich history and nostalgic charm, reflecting its importance to the Twin Cities. Visitors appreciate the effort to reimagine and celebrate Dayton's legacy, with some recalling their past experiences at the former department store. The space features a thoughtfully created market on the first floor, housing many small businesses, and includes the return of the Mary Tyler Moore statue, which adds to its nostalgic appeal. The building hosts pop-up shopping events, though some find it to be quite empty beyond these activities. People enjoy exploring the historic architecture and learning about Dayton's past, which is seen as a beautiful glimpse into the city’s history. There is potential for the space to become more vibrant if additional features like a spa or bath place are added. The Dayton's Project also participates in events like Doors Open Minneapolis, offering free tours and opportunities for visitors to walk around and discover the building’s history. Overall, it’s a place that blends nostalgia with community spirit, though some wish for more lively amenities.

It's a cool building but very empty. I like their pop up shopping events, but beyond that it's just a space to walk though. They should make a spa/ bath place
