I had a great experience there today. Great products and great service. Unfortunately, I came a day too early for the challah bread. I love this place. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Stop in for so good old fashioned eats. I'm not Jewish but I know good food when I see it. Try the matzo ball soup in a jar if you like chicken noodle soup you will love matzo ball soup.

I was super excited to check out the Kosher Spot as there are far less Jewish restaurants and stores out in the Midwest than I am used to in New York. The store is right next to a kosher sushi spot which is pretty convenient for those who keep kosher. When I walked in, it was quite crowded with a lot of other Jews ( I am also Jewish) which I always take as a great sign, but the selection was super limited compared to what I am used to and the prices were incredibly high for most normal items. I know there is always a large markup for kosher items, but this was significantly higher than I have seen before and seemed to apply to items which are generally kosher by default like oil and other regular household supplies.Furthermore, a lot of the items have no price tag - especially the freezer section which made me have no idea what I was going to pay until I got up front.I ended up leaving with a box of frozen knishes (7.99) and a refrigerated pair of knishes (4.99). The refrigerated section knishes were delicious, I heated them back up in the oven when I got home and really enjoyed it. Much better than the knish I had at Cecil's.But as a store, the prices are way too high for me to give a higher rating even though it is nice to see a kosher store.
