The Trylon Cinema is a friendly neighborhood and cool little movie theater in south Minneapolis. It is a cute place with eclectic, weird, and fun movie selections, showing niche films and series beyond the usual blockbuster. The theater is great for dates, events, and renting for private parties. Concessions are cash only with an ATM available, offering good popcorn, candy, soda, and beverage selections. Tickets can be bought online with a card. The volunteers and staff are super friendly, the seats are comfortable, and it features cool older movie posters for purchase.
They play awesome obscure 80’s movies and bad Christmas horror movies there, and I love it.
It’s a very small theater, has a nice almost small town theater feel to it. Not a huge spectacle theater like we’re used to seeing now, good place to catch independent and obscure films.

The Trylon is a gem in the area. Retro movies themed for each month of the year. I'm so glad they are still showing old classics. Lots of fabulous dining in the neighborhood. The cinema has plenty of street parking. Cheap popcorn and drinks!
