Great experience in managing my 401k and personal investments! I see some complaints from others on Google reviews re: Trusts, etc. Definitely important to understand them from a custodial standpoint and what can/can't be done with them. No issues with TrustPoint on my end!

One of the worst experiences ever. I became a widow at 40 years old and they were the Trust my husband chose before he passed. The financial representative I was forced to work with for almost 14 years was judgmental and off putting. It's my money and I had to literally beg and plead to receive any type of portion from it. It had gotten to the point that I tried to avoid any calls or communication from her. At the advise of my current husband, we hired an attorney and moved the Trust over to Edward Jones Trust. After they reviewed my statements, it was obvious that Trust Point Inc. is lazy, incompetent and should have made more money over the years with my investments. Run! Do not work with these people. RESPONSE TO TRUSTPOINT: But it wasn't in the WILL to do a lazy and incompetent job regarding my investments.

They run the investment portion of my VEBA account and I am forced to use them by my previous employer. No losses/gains posted in 9 months, even though I was told that would happen quarterly. They are stealing my money. I am working with the MN attorney general to resolve issues. Attorney general office is appalled by what they have discovered and are involving other federal and state agencies. Please do not use this company if you have a choice. Zero stars if I could.

They are the owners of a home we did the work on, home builder didn't pay us what we were owed for the work complete ($21,961.94, plus late fees) and TrustPoint is holding the money from him and won't pay us even though what they are holding is enough to pay us. It's going on 8 months now with excuse after excuse.

UPDATE - Just received a prompt call back and resolution. Many thanks to the people inside this organization who are mindful of helping the customer. ORIGINAL POST - Having worked in customer service for many years I know what goes into this job. That said, the person that I spoke with needs a lesson in customer service. I will say that the receptionist that initially answered the phone would have gotten a 5 star rating (she was exactly what you hope to get when calling a company), but then I was transferred and it rapidly went downhill. I was asking general process questions, asked what number to call, etc, and she was incredibly snippy and short. Having completed roll-overs in the past, I have never in my life had so much difficulty getting the information needed to complete this roll-over. I'm hopeful that this company will provide some training in being friendly and HELPFUL to customers in the future, otherwise I'm afraid that the culture of unreturned calls and snippy, unhelpful answers will continue.

There are some nice people that work there but in general they don't care about their clients. I agree with the other reviews that they make a lot of excuses. Do not go to them, look elsewhere.
