Trustone's solution was unsatifactory, rates have gone up and they said there would be an additional 3 weeks of processing time. Complaint was filed against Cheng with the MN Dept of Commerce and complaint against Trustone to followBEWARE! Cheng Vang |Assistant Manager | NMLS: 2179586 has no regard for anyone. Very rude and uncaring over the phone. And my Heloc application was denied and credit was dinged because he lost track of my file and did not submit the necessary paperwork.

DONT WAST TIME. GO TO ANOTHER CREDIT UNION. Absolutely livid over the fact that a fraudulent charge can bounce my account making it negative, as I am trying to pump gas in an unfamiliar state trying to get home, and not one person can show any type of compassion or give me any clear answer as to how and when my money will be back. I needed it right now, to get home, and not one person could help me. I am closing my account and contacting corporate.

I lost my credit card with my wallet a few weeks ago. I tried to report it from application but their application doesn't have an option. So I called and talked with someone for hrs. She disabled my card but never sent me a free replacement card.If I want to compare truestone with US bank ..I used US bank application and report a lost credit card. They sent me a free replacement card within a week with no charges. That's why the bigger banks have better service than smaller cu.

This institution took over $1500 from me in overdraft fees during the pandemic when I was struggling to make ends meet. I was with US Federal the CU that was bought out by TruStone and Firefly for over 27 years and never had one overdraft fee. This institution is untrustworthy and unreliable.

I’m strongly thinking about moving toward closing all 3 accounts with this credit union. I have made every credit card payment on time account always has a positive balance never over drafted. Been building my credit and have a car I am making payments on which currently is a high interest rate. You would think being my credit union they would help n want to refinance my vehicle. But any time I have applied for any type of loan with this company they have always denied me for everything. You would think them being a credit union they would help with building credit and credit consulting. But they don’t!

I have had several auto loans in my life. I have never been late or missed. I became suddenly disabled last spring, losing over half our family income. We reached out for hardship paper work and received no assistance. Don't get the loan officer Anita Christmas. She is the most heartless woman you will ever meet. She talks down to you when you reach to them for a resolution. They refuse to help, and refuse to send paperwork stating they don't do hardship. Let her find out your of another race and you become the worst person to walk the earth. Furthermore, they have a company who "tracks" their car insurance. They don't contact you asking for proof, instead they add on one years insurance costing you several thousands of dollars, and when you submit proof it is too late they say. Your then required to pay a double payment on your loan for one year to cover this insurance. While jokes on them AS this past year I have saved every document and piece of attempted contact. And they still claim they are not in the wrong. Stay far away from this company They are crooks, and don't have a life emergency because they will not help. Where are the consumer protection laws? They don't pertain to this company apparantly. And yet again, I requested someone else to handle our account, and they refuse to help us with that either. Horrible horrible heartless company. That will make you feel less of a person each time you speak with them. RUN FAR AWAY or GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN

Great disappointment from firefly. Long wait times in email correspondence and phone calls.

Tried opening an account. Had forms of verification except for a bank statement since it hadn't arrived in the mail yet. They asked for my lease and I had it on my phone. But for reason since I moved there in August it wasn't valid. It had to be within 60 days for it to be accepted. Never have I ever heard of such an arbitrary requirement just to open a checking account. Not sure if I will be returning here.

I do not have anything bad to say about this location. Since I have applied an account to whatever transactions I needed to make onsite, online, or over the phone, TruStone has always exceeded my expectations. Thank you all so much for the work that you do.

I used to bank with firefly. Trustone took over march 1st. It is now April 26 and I still have not received my new trustone cards. I have called 4 times and everytime(after holding for 20 minutes+)they assure me that the cards are on the way, or transfer me to another department that also insists that they cannot mail my cards. Beyond frustrating, I miss firefly, and am unable to recommend this bank to any besides those that I wish to inflict a hellish amount of annoyance and disappointment.

I was with US Federal Credit Union/Firefly for decades. Never had an issue, they always had great customer service. Everything always worked and anything I ever did with them went smoothly with no hitches. Then the merger happened and it's like I belong to a different credit union. I get the sense that the lights are on and nobody's home. Terrible customer service. Not that they're rude, they're just dysfunctional. Even when you do talk to someone it feels as if they have no idea what's going on and they're just guessing. What really concerns me is how easily it was to get a cashier's check from the Lyndale Ave branch. The teller didn't even look at my ID and when I pulled my mask down to show him my face he immediately told me to put it back on in a snarky tone. You're behind glass you doofus! It should not be that easy to take thousands of dollars out of my account. Then I read another review from someone who said the same thing, that they withdrew cash from their branch with almost no resistance or identification checks. Currently shopping around for other options, I get an uneasy feeling from this place. This is not what a credit union should feel like.

I needed to make a wire transfer. I waited a long time to get an answer on the phone. Finally they promised a call back from someone that could help me. The call never came and I went Well Fargo for the wire. They are having significant problems with the merger.
