Super thankful for the crew here! I do not live in the immediate area but, as I was running errands the other day, my engine began to give out on the highway. I had to slowly get off and Googled the closest car place that had reliable reviews. I was able to (very slowly) get there and they took my car in (Saturday) and had it ready Monday afternoon. They also gave me a bit off of the bill, which was much steeper than I was anticipating, having not known what was wrong with the car (bad coil unit). They were pleasant and explained everything clearly. I might just go out of my way now to take my car here for regular tuneups!

Sent my car in for an Incandescent to LED headlight change out, got my car back and the high beams were pointing in the air and the low beams were messed up. Took it apart myself and the low beam wasn’t fastened into the assembly and I was missing 1 out of two bolts holding the assembly to the frame. Disappointed but not surprised. Average Minneapolis Mechanic.

My mom and I have been taking our cars to Wilson's for almost 10 years now. I absolutely trust them to get things done right and at a great price. Recently there was a mysterious problem with my car that was hard to determine exactly what was going on. But Wilson worked with me directly and took extra time to figure it out and get the problem fixed and gave me the best deal. They are kind and considerate and I appreciate the work they do!

I met a friend on Facebook, who has been saving her money for a dream car. She wanted a Lincoln Continental, in the late 70s. She was given a link to a car not too far from her town of Minneapolis, Minnesota. I made a phone call to the owner and felt like this may well be the car for her to buy. It is extremely hard to find a rust free car in Minnesota. She ended up buying it. I’ve been in the car business for over 35 years. It’s been my experience, upon getting a car, to change all the fluids, so you know what you’re starting with. A 78 Lincoln Continental has a 400 big block in it. I made several calls to different shops and finally ended up contacting Wilson’s Auto World. After talking with Jason, I was assured by him that they could handle the job. I sent my friend the $800 to do this job. I instructed her to buy a new thermostat and also told her to purchase the correct engine oil, which is 10w30 or 10W40 viscosity, not a brand, simply the thickness of the oil. Engines require zinc to protect the camshaft and lifters and the wide bearing clearances. I made several calls to the shop because I wanted to find out what condition the brakes were in, during the time car was there, so I could tell my friend the percentage of wear on the brakes. Wilson’s took my number down and assured they would call me…they never did. In fact, they asked my friend to have me stop calling. I am an extremely oriented, principal person. I could not understand the public relations of the shop and me spending my hard earned money. My friend got the car back…the transmission was 2 quarts low, power steering one quart low. The differential was over full. To make matters worse, the oil that I had spent time researching, And my friend had purchased to put in the engine, was still full. My friend was planning to take a trip. On the bill, Wilson’s had put 0W20 Synthetic oil in the engine. I had a fit! I told her, do not drive that car on a long trip, it can do damage to the engine. She called the shop and they assured her that all was fine. Clearly they know nothing about oil viscosity. I also would like to add they did not change the brake fluid. My friend was quite upset and I called the shop and got hold of Wilson, personally, who assured me he would call my friend and get this situation straightened out. He never did. My friend ended up getting the correct oil put in the engine and they changed the brake fluid. After a long drawn out situation of making an appointment, I told my friend that I didn’t appreciate it and I felt she should ask for a partial refund. I’m sure the shop would never offer a refund. That should’ve been done. She declined to do that. I would be very cautious for anyone and what you do with your automobiles, taking it to Wilson’s Auto World. They did offer her two free oil changes, however, she will not be returning. Sincerely, Dan Allen, owner of D & D Auto,Tampa, Florida.

They did okay I guess. 157.00 seemed rather pricey for switching out summer to winter tires that were already on rims. I wanted to try them out since they’re so close, but most places I’ve used have charged slightly less than 100.00 for the same service.
Update! The charge was for mounting the tires (wrong amount)… already made right and got a refund. Excellent customer service!

Good people, honest and reliable. I took my car in on a Sunday (they closed early on Sunday) so I though they weren't going to get my car fix the same day, but they did and gave me a fair price for it so l will be coming to them for any work my car needs done in the future that's for sure and I highly recommend Wilsons if anyone is looking for a good mechanic shop!

I had a terrible sad experience with your shop with my 78 Lincoln ? They didn't do half the work I paid for and maybe mine of the work ??♀️ They put the wrong oil in even though I brought the right kind. They could blow up my engine with ow 30, they also left only a tiny bit of power steering fluid in and the tranny fluid was 4 quarts low after they were suppose to drain and fill all my fluids. They didn't even touch the brake fluid I was charged for ? Thank goodness I went to another mechanic right after and had it checked over before I took my car on a trip! They could've really done some damage and hurt my car I've saved my whole life for, or me and someone else on the road. I heard good things and Jason said you guys knew about classics but clearly the young workers do not know or communicate with each other and should not be working on people's classics! When I came back mad and in tears they really didn't care and just said they would changed out the fluids they know didn't get done and gave me a little of my $900 back. I heard good things and thought I could trust your shop but clearly not. ?? Very sad you do this to people ?

I have been going there for a few years now and then always go above and beyond even at their own expense and will continue to go there as long as I'm in Minneapolis.

They were able to get my vehicle in right away and the ballpark quote Jason gave me at the desk when I got there was spot on, no surprises! I'll be back with more vehicles in the future.
