“My 99 year old father in law sells his Antique Treasures here almost all the sellers are who are the workers there they each work 2 days per month when selling goods at this store... so if you get a bad experience with a worker mostly they won't be in there the next time if you try them again! Most of the people selling in there are Antiques Themselves! Nice people and caring you can offer them less it never hurts to ask. It's Great they have this place to keep them busy and memories of times gone by”

“Hit or miss for buying - my daughter’s size (2t) is typically picked over/not much inventory. There’s seems to be much for 18 months and younger and 4t and older. HOWEVER, I brought a bin in today not thinking I would get much $$/taken, and over half my bin was taken! Pleasantly surprised! I think the trick was, I made sure to double check for any stains/rips etc, and sorted via size as well as clothing type (sets, dresses, long sleeves, pants etc). One thing I noticed is that most of the stuff that was not taken were things from Amazon that had Chinese sizing, so I will have to remember that for next time. I think the quality was good, and they sell clothes with Chinese sizing. Don’t really have complaints!”

I was repeatedly told “this was in your signed agreement” though I was never given one the day I sold. Only a receipt. I knew exactly what it is I wanted to find that day which can sometimes require trips to multiple stores, but I lucked out here. Again, it came to great organizing for how the shop is set up. “Trying on dresses with Nikolina was the highlight of my wedding dress search. Even my less vintage-inclined friends were impressed with her incredible design knowledge and the vision she cast for modifying each piece to create my own personal aesthetic. She was so fun to work with! Shopping through their selection does require some imagination, but as someone who loves envisioning possibilities, this was half of the adventure. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to create a personal and unique vintage dress or revive a historical piece with sentimental value - you won't regret taking the time to imagine with Nikolina.”
“I absolutely love this location for both purchasing and selling items. For starters the staff are amazing when it comes to helping find what is needed and welcoming you into the store. I almost did not go due to the reviews but given my past experience in a similar industry I know that when people don't get their way they try to sabotage places. I am happy I chose to go into this location. It has a wide selection of clothing and even when the staff are extremely busy they still welcome customers and help them find things when needed. While I was there someone became rude to a staff member and despite this customers attitude the staff remained professional. I will be continuing to shop at this location it is clean and a positive environment. The staff all seem to get along and work together.
When selling to the location the staff are quick and accurate with timing. I brought in multiple bins and they purchased a lot of the items and explained to me why they passed on the rest. They answered all of my questions that I asked and were very transparent about the way that they priced the items.
Don't let the negative reviews of Karen's push you away from this Once Upon a Child. This was the best experience I had at any of the locations I have been to. I almost did and I am happy that I didn't and chose to give this place a try.

“This is my number one favorite retail store in the world. They are picky on what they take, so they always have nice stuff. Prices are very reasonable. This is a large store. Stuff turns over pretty quickly, so don't wait to buy something you like or it will disappear. If my wife were to throw me out, I'd probably furnish my new place here because I've seen lots of neat furniture that would have been more expensive new than I'd be willing to pay.”
“I'm from Houston but we usually spend the summer in Minnesota, and every year I come to June multiple times. The sales staff will also source and send you clothing if you call from outside the Twin Cities with requests (mine: Fabulous flowing gown for a Mexico City wedding. June staff: how do you look in purple?). 5 star customer service.”
