Most of the people are very friendly. Sometimes you might get a cranky individual. When I was homeless they broke the law by tampering with my ability to receive my mail...I could have them all charged with a felony because according to the USPS website if you are homeless you are entitled to either unlimited general delivery or after the 30 day window this post office had if you are still homeless then they are forced by law to give you a free PO box. I am not happy with how the people at this post office violated federal law. It's only because I'm no longer homeless and because I love Jesus that I'm willing to show these people mercy and not turn their lives upside down.

I haven't received mail in 2 days. When I tried to call them about it, there's no local number, only the national number with a wait time of 35 minutes plus.

The worst post office I have ever encountered. Poor attitudes. They don't actually attempt to deliver a package to your door they just throw a notice in your mail box to inconvenience you to have to go pick it up. They have lost our packages, don't deliver mail daily. Lose letters that show set to be delivered on usps informed delivery emails. The staff has one nice woman who works there everyone else has attitude and is rude most days. This place needs a audit and complete retraining and new staffing.

After receiving my tracking e-mail informing me my package had arrived at post office locker I went to get it. Opened my P.O. Box and no key or pick up voucher. So I left and returned the next day still nothing. I went to the counter to inform them I haven’t received my package. Since this happens quite often I went with a printed notice of all tracking which came all the way from California with no problem until it gets to the Monticello Post Office!!! It Just needed to go to my box inside the building and gets lost? She throws her arms up and says I don’t know! Did you drop it? I didn’t get it! Is there someone else that picks up your mail? NO! She is literally accusing me of losing it. They completely denied any responsibility of loss. And tells me it’s my problem now. So here I am, and I may be back because I have another package on its way from Texas and is nearly here. I wonder if this one will end up in someone’s lunch box. How’s that for an accusation.

The customer service reps inside of the post office were super helpful and kind. However, the actual delivery/mail carriers seem to lack responsibility. I had expected a package to be delivered, was using the site tracker, and all of a sudden it said it was being held at the post office. I didn't request it to be held there, didn't receive a notice slip in my mailbox/door, and quite frankly nobody came to the door to deliver it. Are they just saying they did it so they don't have to do the extra work of walking up to a door? I've never had an issue with packages being dropped off before with other services. I had ordered something that was time sensitive and needed it today but now I have to wait and see if they'll deliver it tomorrow or pretend to come by.

Crabby customer service at the front desk. Denied all my packages because the labels were off by a few ounces. Have had no trouble at any post offices, except the one time I come here. It will be the first and last time. Not a pleasant experience. F minus.

Been in there multiple times and usually have no problems. Dennis on the other hand needs to get fired. EVERY single time my wife or I get stuck dealing with him it ALWAYS turns into a disaster. Whatever you do avoid dealing with that low life scumbag.

So 2 days ago we found 4 pieces of mail in the snowbank that was melting away including tab renewal and insurance bill that had been in the snow for a while. Then we get this jem on our cameras where they just dropped my package out the window half way up my driveway. I know my driveway can be tough in the spring, but leave a note to come pick it up instead of just yeeting it out the window in a random spot in the driveway. They have left that note before.

The fact that the workers here continue to tough it out through even the worst inclement weather while being constantly worn down and overworked just to keep up with the significant mail & package loads of this town using vehicles that are constently falling apart, all while constantly being understaffed, is incredible. I can't express my appreciation to the mail carriers enough! The carriers here are some real troopers and have my utmost respect. I feel like they get a bad rap from people understandably upset, but for problems that have nothing to do with the local postal workers. I can only wish people understood half of how much the carriers here seem to sacrifice just to ensure this service is provided that so many take for granted.
