“I had a very positive experience with CARS Bike Shop. I took my bike to them based on their Google reviews and proximity to my home. They performed a tuneup on my 1993 Trek 700. I am quite satisfied with the service and the price I received. I will go to them again with my bike needs. They offer fair prices, and down-home, local ownership.”

“I do a ton of bike riding. 112,000 miles since I started keeping track and 45,000 miles in the last four years. I go through tires like crazy. In May of 2020, I had already had three flats for the year and not liking inconvenience, I looked for a solution.I asked the owner to put on some really good tires, tubes, and a puncture resistant liner. I specified the liner could not be metal because I had heard they can cut tubes. He installed Continental tires, new tubes, and some kind of a fabric puncture resistant liner. I have almost 11,000 flat-free miles on those tires (I have six bikes), and it looks like they have a few thousand miles left in them. That is crazy for a bike tire. I have gotten as few as 4-5000 miles on some brands. The owner's choice of products and his install have taken a lot of the grief out of biking. I shall return if these ever wear out.Edit: Aug2023 - I'm am finally taking the bike in today for major servicing, including new tires/tubes/puncture resistant liner. The tires have over 16,000 miles on them without a flat. The front tire has more miles left, but the rear tire has minimal tread. I hope the owner can replicate what he did last time.”

“NOW is a candy store for cyclists. They have the high end bikes, equipment and expertise that most area bike shops lack. I’ve bought two bikes from them and have to be careful with my credit card whenever I walk in. The sales and maintenance staff is excellent and very friendly. And, I really trust their knowledge.”

“OMGosh! Buy your bike here. Get your bike repaired here. My wife and I are retired and ride 5-10 miles/day, so we had 5 years and lots of miles on our bikes. A tune up from Pioneer Cycle and my wife said her bike was like new, shifting like butter and great brakes. My bike had more wear and needed a sprocket and parts. Spenser knew exactly what it needed and was able to get the parts quickly. Pioneer Cycle was competent, friendly and fair. Spenser is great at educating as well as repairing. I only write reviews when I have had excellent service, and Pioneer Cycle earned my trust and future business.”

“I brought my bike in to have the hydraulic disc brakes looked at. Another bike shop had recently "serviced" my brakes, but the braking power didn't feel right after a couple visits for "adjustments" to the brakes, so I brought the bike into Bicycle Chain for a second opinion. I talked to Matt, who explained to me what the problems might be and that he would take a look at it. He seemed extremely knowledgeable and helpful, so I left the bike with him to troubleshoot the issue. He emailed me later that day to let me know that the bike was ready to go. I thought that was amazing given that my "regular" shop usually took a few days to fix something, and that was after I had made an appointment days in advance. When I came by the shop to pick up my bike, Matt explained to me what he did to fix the issue. I tested the brakes and was very happy and amazed by the results. The brakes felt better than they did when I bought the bike 3 years ago!! I VERY HIGHLY recommend the Bicycle Chain for service. Matt and the rest of the staff are extremely knowledgeable and VERY helpful. Bicycle Chain will definitely be my "go-to" shop in the future. I don't care that it's twice as far away. Thanks again, Matt and the Bicycle Chain staff, for an incredible bike shop experience.”

“Very helpful and friendly staff. Sam was a great person to talk to and get advice from. Definitely recommend them to anyone who is into biking or getting into it. They might have been the only store in town that had a part I needed/wanted. Was worth every minute I was there!!”

“Vanessa was amazing, as she took the time to try on a number of ski boots with me. She helped me in determining which fit the best, and fit best in my price range. I really appreciated her attention and the help I got in picking out my new ski boots.”

“Their used parts area has a lot more to pick from compared to The Hub. They recently re-organized and painted the place which looks really nice.Tons of cool restored bikes and a helpful staff.”

“One of the folks frequently in the shop there - Ryan maybe? - is always happy to field my questions and not make me feel like a bother or an idiot. He is the primary reason I go to Dinkytown Eric’s for service on my bikes and boards. Makes a big difference!”

“As usual the staff were very friendly and helpful. They answered questions and adjusted a used bike so it fit me for free and I had acquired the bike from a friend .Prior to this I had brought another bike in for a “tune up” and when I rode it after that it felt like it was brand new again!”
