Rokken Bakken was recommended to me by a mechanic at the local Firestone. Firestone screwed up my car and I brought it to him to fix. He broke it worse and refused to do any work on it even though I tried to leave it with him twice.
Dropped it off Sunday and he said he could fix the brakes and the window. Couldn't get the parts but said I could drop it off Tuesday evening and he could get it done by 9:30pm. Possibly correctly diagnosed my window issue, I'm not sure, but he didn't reconnect all the parts of my door correctly when he put it back together, and now I can't access my gas cap.
Dropped it off at 5:30pm as expected and he said he had the brake parts but not the window regulator I needed, but would fix the door where he broke it and do the brakes. I told him I had my ride waiting but he said he could text me a quote, no problem. When I got the quote an hour later he quoted for all the fixes and said he needed half down because it was total over $300. He only has cashapp, nothing else. I was at home with no ride to get back to him. I said I had no issue paying him, but I don't have cashapp and had no way to get back to him, wouldn't have left if I'd known there would be a problem. He did not message me back or answer phone calls until 8:30pm, at which point I was on my way to retrieve my vehicle. He did not fix where he broke my door, so I can't put gas in my car. He did no work. The brake fix would have been less than the $300 but he didn't do it because he hadn't asked me for any money before I left.

Aaron was terrific. He responded almost immediately over labor day weekend. My car died in Belle Plaine on the way back to Saint Paul from Mankato, and a few places I called heard the year and mileage and said it was probably just done for without sounding interested in looking at it. I work in construction and the soonest I could get into a shop was Thursday (he fixed my car on Monday, labor day even). Aaron arrived when he said he would, asked me a bunch of questions about how it happened, and then quickly diagnosed it as simply the alternator. He went with the store with me to make sure I got the right part (and a good brand), and had it shortly thereafter. Service was timely, install was good, and his price was fantastic. Will be calling him again for all old car needs.

He never showed up and never responded. I'll still give 3 stars because at least he sent an initial response to my service request and I understand life gets busy. Other mobile mechanics gave zero response. I regret not accepting the week long quotes from shops down the road.

If you need a mechanic for anything, call Aaron! I was told by 3 mechanics that my car was done for and after a month without a car, I spoke with Aaron and he fixed the brake lines, looked at everything and showed me what my old mechanics did to make me have to come back to them... he did this the same day I talked to him, traveled to me, had everything on hand to fix the car. He is incredible and won't hurt your pocket and the quality of his work is beyond expectations. If you have a mechanic now don't waste your time and just call Aaron.

Price was very fair, he shopped around for most economical/safe parts. No hidden charges or surprises. Pointed out what other things needed attention, how soon they should be taken care of and the approximate cost. Will definitely have him work on my car again!Service: Brakes

Aaron has done work on my car twice thus far. I have a laundry list of things for him to do. He also did my mother’s brakes on my recommendation. He has been kind, trustworthy, honest about what really needs fixing, the time frame it should get done, and very professional. I appreciate him being available at a moment’s notice and his flexibility with traveling to me if need be. He replaced my tie rod on Memorial Day! Great Job!!!!! thank you. I have been watching my van slowly wear down and I wasn't sure what was happening to it. I didn't have time to bring it in or sure of the cost. It wasn't even the part I thought needed to be fixed which saved me a big cost. You and your partner were quick and efficient in getting my parts and started to work on my right away.
