“Out of all the antique stores in Hopkins, this is my favourite. The shop is filled with cool looking things and a solid vinyl selection. The prices seem really reasonable too. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The woman who helped me today was able to find exactly what I was looking for and had such a nice nature. If ever I'm in Hopkins, this place is always a must.”

“My best friend and I were in the shop for the first time on Saturday the 28th of June. It’s cozy place, very nice atmosphere, I found an elephant clock, I love elephants. And my best friend Dana Marie found this book , it has designs on it. Very nice place.”

“I went to many different shops and tried on many different dresses, but Andrea's was far and away the best experience I had. All five of my top choices were from this shop, and Nikolina is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Beyond the sustainability and nostalgia of a vintage dress, their gowns are stunning. I promise that they have something for everyone. I tried on many dresses I never would have considered and I'm so glad I did. I still get so many compliments on my dress, and it's unlike anything I'd ever seen before. I couldn't even find a picture of it online (believe me, I tried). The collection of unique, beautiful, and vintage gowns blew me away. It was so fun to try on dresses from so many different decades. They are also really good about working within your budget. I can't recommend Andrea's enough!”

“If I’m going to shop for clothes, fashion avenue is definitely my first stop! They have a great selection and I love the sustainability aspect of shopping second hand. Why buy something new when you can find already produced items with tags on? The staff are friendly and I have had nothing but great experiences so far!”

“Great place to shop, good place to sell.I will say, they are not very friendly and rather short with you on the phone while asking simple questions. I was repeatedly told “this was in your signed agreement” though I was never given one the day I sold. Only a receipt. Still a good and reputable place and I’ll keep coming back because it’s a great store with quality items.”

“You won’t waste your time with what they’ve selected! I’m a Pilates girl and loved their Lulu and Athleta assortment. Everything is in 10/10 condition you don’t have to worry about pilling old finds as I usually see at Plato’s Closet. A huge shout out to Sophie who assisted me with selling and also purchasing a few pieces, very courteous and helpful!!”

“Mireya was so helpful, as a man, I often find it hard to find styles in certain stores but she was very kind and encouraging to find something that really fits. Definitely will not regret my purchase !”

“Hit or miss for buying - my daughter’s size (2t) is typically picked over/not much inventory. There’s seems to be much for 18 months and younger and 4t and older. HOWEVER, I brought a bin in today not thinking I would get much $$/taken, and over half my bin was taken! Pleasantly surprised! I think the trick was, I made sure to double check for any stains/rips etc, and sorted via size as well as clothing type (sets, dresses, long sleeves, pants etc). One thing I noticed is that most of the stuff that was not taken were things from Amazon that had Chinese sizing, so I will have to remember that for next time. I think the quality was good, and they sell clothes with Chinese sizing. Don’t really have complaints!”

“I wanted to leave a review, I was checking their hours on Google and saw the low reviews. I have occasionally over the last 14 or so years bought and sold at June. The owner is NICE! The other staff in the store are also NICE! I’ve worked in restaurants and construction, I have shown up wearing sweatpants. They don’t care what your profession is or what you are wearing. June has a curated collection of luxury items. It’s resale, so sometimes you find a lot, sometimes not so much. I personally think June is an amazing little shop, where I always end up leaving with something.”

“Lots of interesting mid-century modern stuff here. Was here looking for a coffee table but they didn't have the style I wanted, I'll have to stop back as the owner apparently gets new stuff in all the time. There was lots of other cool stuff here that I didn't need!”

“I absolutely love this location for both purchasing and selling items. For starters the staff are amazing when it comes to helping find what is needed and welcoming you into the store. I almost did not go due to the reviews but given my past experience in a similar industry I know that when people don't get their way they try to sabotage places. I am happy I chose to go into this location. It has a wide selection of clothing and even when the staff are extremely busy they still welcome customers and help them find things when needed. While I was there someone became rude to a staff member and despite this customers attitude the staff remained professional. I will be continuing to shop at this location it is clean and a positive environment. The staff all seem to get along and work together.
When selling to the location the staff are quick and accurate with timing. I brought in multiple bins and they purchased a lot of the items and explained to me why they passed on the rest. They answered all of my questions that I asked and were very transparent about the way that they priced the items.

Don't let the negative reviews of Karen's push you away from this Once Upon a Child. This was the best experience I had at any of the locations I have been to. I almost did and I am happy that I didn't and chose to give this place a try.

“Empty the Nest is an occasional secondhand store with lots of unique finds, tucked in an office strip off the beaten path. They are typically open weekends but you'll want to join the 45k other facebook followers and keep an eye out for their hours and sales. There will likely be a line waiting for the doors to open on the first day of the sale. The second day they may discount everything 50%, sometimes more. Be sure to grab some green sold stickers near the entrance to claim your find in case another shopper is interested.
The reason they aren't open during the week is because the are busy emptying out houses as a part of their business model.
We enjoy bringing the kids and finding fun vintage toys and decor.
You'll definitely want to check it out of you love the thrill of the treasure hunt aspect!”
