BMO is a bank formed from the joining of Bank of the West and BMO Harris Bank. The staff is super nice, new, fresh, and caring. They go beyond being helpful and really care about you; you are not just a customer number to them. They are knowledgeable and quickly come to help with problems. The staff is also kind and understanding, making the bank a favorite to visit for banking needs. There are good bonus referrals offered. However, while the bank is good overall, feedback indicates that its loan and mortgage departments are not as strong.

This new staff goes beyond being helpful. They really care about YOU. Having a problem that difficult to take care of, I went in to the bank. They quickly came to help me. I opened an account with BMO and everything went very smoothly. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly when I came in and the banker that helped me was super knowledgeable. She also helped me get the BMO app set up too so I can easily check on my account.

BoW has been a good bank overall, but their loan and mortgage departments not so much. Now, that BMO Harris Bank bought out BoW and as of September 5, 2023 Bank of the West is no more.
