The ladies pay attention to detail
They’re good at evening out the length of the nails so they’re consistent and none of them are crooked
I left another nail salon because each time I would’ve asked the guy to angle my nails in. He would tell me he can’t because they’re too short, but I could go home and angle them in. I did not want to go home and angle them in anymore, and the ladies here are able to angle the nails in even if they’re shorter.
I prefer thinner, acrylic nails, so they’re not clunky and big and they do a nice job with that.
I also do not have nails lifting up on the corners like I did when I went to a different nail salon in Red Wing.
They are not accurate with time availability usually I’ve had to wait 10 to 15 minutes so I believe they could work on schedule and timing so you’re not sitting there waiting so much especially if you have other things going on and you’re trying to fit your nail appointment in

I had 2 $25 gift cards for impress nails. They had no expiration date on them. So one is from 2022 and one is from 2023. I went there the First Lady told me they accepted them, then another woman came up to me and said sorry we can’t accept these because we have a new owner. Yet they still have the same name impress nails. When I called to ask more questions the woman I spoke to said they bought from the old owners 2 years ago so both of my gift cards would have been from them, when I said that she changed it and said no we bought in 2023 ok so then one of the gift cards would be valid. Even though there is no expiration date and the gift cards still say Impress Nails which is still the name even with the new owner. They wouldn’t honor them. I am a mom of two kids and all I wanted was to finally be able to treat myself before Mother’s Day. I’m also an educator and they were gifted to me for teacher appreciation . I could see if they had an expiration date and the name of the place was different but you can’t honor that? I think that’s really sad and not a good look for business. The gift cards were for $50 total. It’s not like I was asking for $200 in services. I don’t have a bunch of extra money around to treat myself, so the day before Mother’s Day I thought oh hey I have these and they should still be good. Nope. Very very disappointing.

Impress nails is a great place. They did my nails exactly how I wanted them. Very talented. Their business is a very relaxing environment will definitely be back.

I could not recommend this place more! I’m from out of town and decided last minute to get a mani/pedi for a wedding I’m attending. I called ahead of time to make sure they had the capacity to see me and told me to come on in! The entire staff is so kind and welcoming! I never get my nails done and my amazing cosmetologist helped me pick the right length of acrylic. She was incredibly talented and the shape and color look fantastic! My pedi was phenomenal and relaxing. If you live here make this your new regular spot. If you are visiting take some time for you and add this to your activity list!

It says walk-ins welcome on the door. I walked in. She asked if I had an appointment I said no didn’t know I needed one so to me they lost a $50 $60 sale but it’s telling me to go away. I will never walk in there again.

First off they gave terrible service, they were rude and kept getting up to do other things while leaving me sit there for the longest time. Then I got my nails done here and all 3 of them broke just from washing dishes, nothing extreme. Also they can’t put gems on straight for the life of them. They’re just a bunch of lazy people who could careless about what’s your toes/nails look like. I wouldn’t recommend going here and a drive to Rochester would be better than going here.

Wonderful service today at Impress Nails in Red Wing from Chien Nguyen, the artist. Nails are perfection. Amazing!! Another "best."

Don’t plan to go there right when they open. They will be 10-15 minutes late (turning the lights on and unlocking the front door). They only had 2 staff working for a Saturday morning. Even when they know people have appointments at 10am. You are missing business!
