We were driving from the Twin Cities down to Rochester when we ran over something that caused a puncture. After putting on the spare, we continued on our way. Since we originally purchased our tires at Costco, we decided to stop by to see if the damaged one could be repaired.
Even on a busy Saturday, the process was incredibly smooth. We dropped off the tire at one of the garage bays and were promptly greeted by a technician. Unfortunately, the puncture was too large to patch, but they had a replacement tire in stock. In less than 20 minutes, we had a new tire installed and were back on the road.
A special thank-you to Jovan, who dropped everything to help us from start to finish with our unscheduled repair — truly excellent service!

Kyle, at the counter, did a great job with a complex road hazard warranty problem of mine. He fit me into a tight schedule, sorted out a complicated problem, kept calm and collected despite the usual crush of people at the Costco tire counter, and got me a good result. Great job!

I don't get the Bad reviews. Had 4 tires replaced and everything went great. In and out in about an hour. Kyle, I believe, helped me at the counter and was great to work with. My Brother also had tires put on the week before and said it went just as smooth.

Every Costco tire center I’ve been to has been fantastic. This is not one of those costcos. It is almost impossible to get a hold of them even during the weekday, and you cannot leave a message. When we did get ahold of them, it seemed like everything was great (just replacing a blown tire under warranty) and they messed up the order and wouldn’t give us the tire until talking to the manager days later. What should have happened that week took about a month. Every worker we talked with was great, but it seems there is a serious managerial problem bringing the service down. They also at first glance tried to blame the exploded tire on the cars alignment, even though alignment was great and they hadn’t even touched the car to think otherwise.

Waited in line to check in for my appointment and the line to check-in took quite some time. By the time I was able to check-in, I was “too late” and they rescheduled me. It’s just such a ridiculous and unnecessary inconvenience. If someone is purchasing tires and you know that’s going to take some time, then there has got to be another way to check-in. Why can’t they add mobile check-in or just have a separate line for those checking in? Not streamlined at all.

Horrible customer service! Do not order tires from Costco. I bought tires and scheduled an appointment to install them a week and a half later, which was the soonest they could get me in. I showed up early to the appointment but stood in line for over 45 minutes just to talk to someone at the desk and check-in. When I got to the desk, they said I was too late and had to reschedule me. I will have to go another week without being able to drive my car because of their poor customer service. I will never buy tires from Costco again.

Avoid performing winter tire swaps here. Normally it’s $49.99 to swap winters to summers, but ended up costing me $80. I asked for the manager and he stated it was a new policy they are enforcing if you didn’t buy the tires through Costco. Well the winter tires were bought through Costco and the tires they were installing were the original tires that came on the brand new car. The manager was not friendly at all, just stared me down and wasn’t pleasant, he maybe said 6 words to me in total and just stared at me like I was some big dumbo. I wasn’t informed of this policy change until after I brought it up and had already paid, and they stone walled me and refused. I should have brought it up before I paid I guess because $80 for a tire swap is a rip off. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars of business with Costco, and this left me leaving very mad and questioning if I should 1 continue to be a membership, and 2 keep giving my money to this company. This isn’t the first experience I have had here where I left upset. Seems they also had people in the tire area I knew leave recently that worked there for many years, seems things must not be going well for them in that area.

As of now, whoever is in charge of this auto center is running a “tire patch” scam against customers and Costco’s LP team needs to look into this.

Everyone working at the Rochester Costco is friendly and helpful. I have gotten some bad produce a couple times but Costco made things right which was nice. The lines can be pretty long sometimes but they do go fast. Hopefully they add scan-and-go at some point. I have had good luck at their tire center over the years too.

Tires are cheaper than elsewhere but costumer service is pretty low quality. Nothing is explained, they take for granted you know about the policies and tires nitrogen inflation and get annoyed with questions. First and last time I bought tires there. Next time will pay more to have a better overall service and experience.

Every time I shop at this location the most time consuming task is getting out the door after purchase!! If it is so necessary to monitor every purchase by every customer then staff accordingly so the lines don't stretch the full length of the store!!!!!

It was about 4:45pm on a Sunday and I had been saving money to get my tires changed after some time. Every place I had called were either fully booked, didn’t have my tire size, or they were closing. I am a Costco member and soon realized that they were the only tire center opened until 6pm. I steadily drove over there with one tire at a pressure of 18..I walked in and asked if they had my tire size which they did. I soon asked if they could replace my old tires. At this point it was about 5:15 and they were closing at 6pm. Aaron and the team were able to get my old tires off and the new tires on before they closed. I am so grateful and have a forever home where I feel seen, heard, and understood. Costco Tire Center now has my loyalty as they have provided excellence service!

They sell more tires that they can service, which results in long delays for installation, little flexibility, and unhappy/overworked staff.

I'm done with Costco online, and they don't care. First they delivered a bed that I canceled, despite hours on the phone with customer service. Then they delivered the right bed to the wrong city and made promises of expediting the replacement but did nothing. Hours of wasted time and I have to scramble to find a replacement bed before the holidays for my 92-year-old in-laws to sleep on. Completely unresponsive and there's no one to talk to you who has the ability to do anything thank you Costco!
