I rented a motorcycle trailer. I was on a tight time scale and uhauls computer was down so it took an extra hour to check out as they ran my information 8-10 times. as a result I missed a very important appointment that costed me, no fault of my own. I understand things happen. then I got stuck in mpls longer (as a result of missing my appointment), I tried to return it on time to a local uhaul in Mpls, yet they would not let me. no mercy whatsoever ever even though they caused the problem for me. ended up coming back early and still getting charged an additional three days rental. hard to believe that understanding can't go both ways. The trailer its self was perfect, service was terrible, staff was very short with me. only gave this two stars because the trailer was so soild and all the lights worked well.

This local branch made the best of an overall terrible experience with U-Haul. Nothing like being called 15 hours before your reservation to find out that the rental you reserved a month ago is no longer available and you’ll have to drive 150 miles to an alternate location.

DO NOT USE. Ordered 5 pods for Thursday, they changed it to Sunday. On Sun they only dropped off 2. 6 hours later they dropped off the other 3. I'm confused on why the wouldn't drop off 3 since 3 fit on a truck. They either over booked or didn't have enough. If that's the case then why wouldn't you tell us? I do know why. Just like a greedy company that over sells and just says sorry. I know this is the only option besides Pods, but.. if you can do the Pods, DO IT!!!

Recently completed a cross country move using U-Haul and returned my equipment to this Rochester location. The morning of the return, I spoke with Summer Hutton, and had a rather unpleasant experience. They were understaffed, and understandably she seemed somewhat stressed out. However, she began to vent that onto customers. While in line in the store, I heard her chide a customer about an overdue truck. When it was my turn in line, she similarly began berating me for returning my equipment two days late. Keep in mind, that when I picked up the equipment, I told my original U-Haul center I was planning on using the equipment for longer, and they said that was fine, that no other action was needed, and that I would just be charged the associated overdue fees, which I was OK with.I informed her of this, and she still seemed to imbue fault onto me despite just following the instructions imparted on me by U-Haul. I understand that work is stressful and she is likely trying to get equipment to other customers that have bookings, however, I don't think it's appropriate to chide customers who are just following the policies outlined to them by U-Haul. That frustration should be directed towards the company to change policy or other centers to improve communication. I also called the corporate headquarters, who seemed perfectly fine with the truck being overdue so long as I paid the understood overdue fees.

Terrible experience, your website wasn’t working so I had to go inside to get my truck. Truck wasn’t prepared. I had to provide everything a second time.Truck was dirty, blankets I rented were full of dirt and stained. I will never use this location again and will tell anyone who listens about my experience.

Kind and welcoming staff. Explained all possible fees and liabilities to me. When I came back with the truck I rented, same helpful staff greeted me and drop off was so easy. I got my emailed (at my choice, you can choose paper) receipt within minutes. Wonderful! The truck I rented was super fancy, had collision detection and backup camera. Exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this location to anyone needing a truck to move large things. Thank you!

Rented a dolly to transport car hundreds of miles away. Clearly told this to staff who said it wouldn't be a problem. When we went to drop the dolly off we were told that it was a local pick up and drop off only. When we called to resolve this, a woman working here was very rude, shouting over the phone, and blaming us for the issue. Judging by other reviews it seems this location has a competence and customer service problem.

Made an appointment pick up time for this preferred location. Arrived on our day and time of pick up to find out that we were supposed to pick up our truck in Eagan even though we selected Rochester. We received no call or email stating this. Workers told my husband they called him and sent an email but we received neither. They then sent us to the south Rochester location to pick up a truck but could only rent it to us for 24 hours instead of the 48 hours we originally reserved. Staff was not friendly or understanding in this situation and made it seem like it was our fault when in reality it falls on them because we received no communication about this.

Far more expensive on LP for tanks than other in town dealers. (as of October 2021, .70 gal more) If the guy is busy at the counter, you wait....and wait....and wait.
