Terrible customer service, no pickup time available when they send you the link (so if you get the curbside pickup you will still have to go in) and order was completely wrong. Customer service does not offer any solutions or take responsibility for mistakes. Will be shopping at their competitors going forward.

I called this store to see if they carried an item, to avoid making an unnecessary trip in the arctic cold in case they didnt. Went thru the automatic phone system, on hold for 20 min or more without interacting with a human. Unfortunately, then had to drive to the store and inquired about being on hold, since the store looked fairly empty and no line at the checkout. The manager checked the phone, which seemed fine, then said the usual "we are very short-staffed". !! So u decide to not answer the phone for customers that need info about something? ? Sounded like a lame excuse, as it wasnt even busy there. Very bad business practice. I will take my business to the Maplewood store, who, by the way, answers their phone promptly, with little hold time.

Odd experience. Came looking for a crochet kit that their website said was available at the Roseville location though limited supply (1-3 left in stock). I asked the employee and she said they were all out. I showed her that the website said it was still in stock and she said no. She didn't even ask anyone else or try to look for it. So actually while I was in the store, I ordered it online for curbside pickup at this exact location where she told me they were all out of stock, and lo and behold 2 hours later it was ready for curbside pickup. It's sad when you can't trust the person that works there. In the future I would just order online and skip the human interaction. 2 stars for them having the item I really needed but otherwise customer service was very disappointing.

I was trying to get the discount price on 12 yards of fleece I purchased, and the sweetest gal Liliane helped me. She explained how to go on line & place the order, let me know how the process worked, & was SO kind to take time to help me. She had great customer service skills, & went out of her way to help. I’ll be back-all the staff was helpful & they SMILED!!Thank you so much Liliane!!

The young people at the register didn’t even talk to me when I came up they just kept talking about going to a club together. It was a bit insulting.

Liliane was extremely rude to every customer she spoke with. She was snappy, kept sighing everytime she was asked a question and mocked people making them feel stupid. She didn't smile once or even attempt to pretend. When she helped one of my friends she kept saying the wrong number and then blamed it on him and said he was a liar and got her confused when literally she was the only person confused. Just a hating angry old lady. Ruined my day with her anger.

Incredibly rude employees. Came in a little close to closing time to be fair, but employees were very rude when telling us it was time to leave. Let us browse fleece for 10 minutes before telling us that we had to leave and cutting area was closed 5 minutes prior. Kind, polite customer service goes a long way.

Difficult to find what you need even after asking an employee. Returns are also difficult which is not the case with most US stores in 2023. Bad vibes and disorganized layouts with this store.

This Joanne's is my go-to location for fabric and other crafting needs. The staff always are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Just a couple days ago, I went to get a few fabrics and the person cutting was so kind. They asked what length, confirmed price before starting cut, and were friendly despite it being busy. Always appreciated! They tend to always have good deals on fabric and most things! If you download the app, you get additional deals and occasional rewards (aka $ toward purchase). Store has plenty of parking as it is in a strip mall type area. No complaints - sometimes feel like just another customer but it's a busy place and not overly staffed. Great selection of fabric, yarn and crafting goods. Can't complain! I've ordered online before and it was ready to go when they said it was. Check it out for your crafting needs - my most recent was fleece pullovers for my doggies!

I just had an issue with an order I received from ordering online. Seems I got fabric that was not what I ordered. I went in and it was fixed right away the gentleman who helped me was extremely kind he got the solid black fabric realized there was not enough went in back found more. They even offered I keep the mistake fabric which was awesome it was sort of a nice pattern for my best friend who’s having a baby to make her something!!

I go here about two or three times a year, but each time, I've been fortunate to have been assisted by knowledgeable employees. These days, that is certainly not a guarantee. Prices are reasonable, and if they don't have what I need, they point me to one of their stores that does have the item in stock. Very helpful!
