“Frameworks is fantastic! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Whether you go in knowing what you want or need design help, the outcome will be great. The turnaround time on framing is very quick and they have options for all budgets. I've been going to them for years and have loved everything they've framed for me.”
“So many items to look over! I think they have one of everything ever made. If you can't find what you're looking for here, I don't think it exists!”
“Loved this place when they had art galleries and love it now as a book store!
As a book store, XIA has a great selection of books, with focus on AAPI authors. The store also greatly supports many local authors. All of employees are so helpful in recommending books.
The in-store cafe has many delicious drinks, pastries, and snacks; the barista is always so friendly. I love grabbing a Vietnamese coffee and croissant while looking for a new read.
Overall, this book store is a wonderful place to visit in the heart of St. Paul!”
“The best place in the Twin cities for all your framing needs!
I've had Doug frame several pieces of the years. Always more than pleased with his work.”

“Fantastic work framing a print for us! Great service and very cool showcase of art. One of our favorite art pieces was also purchased there a couple years ago. Thank you!”
“Burl Gallery is a great, modest sized gallery located in Lowertown, St. Paul. The State Fair 'Rejects' offer an eclectic group of whimsical artworks! It's definitely worth a visit to this fun gallery!”
“Was just in their new location to find a unique gift (found more than I needed) and when I got home I noticed they had removed the price tags from the items. Such a small thoughtful detail that I often forget to do even myself.”
“I loved this shop! It was my first time and it seemed to be the only one of its kind open on Sunday. Each seller has their own style, yet they all compliment to make a very dynamic place to spend some of a day off. Mostly vintage but what is super special is some of the original art....seems like they score some interesting lots. They let me take pics of things I may want to come back for. Customer service was incredible and I actually had a very meaningful conversation with Chris, whi was running the show. Very knowledgeable. Ill be back for sure!”
“A beautiful gallery space with inspiring and thoughtfully-curated exhibitions. I've greatly enjoyed their programming, opening receptions and artist talks, and highly recommend a visit!”
“Beautiful selection of pristine quality mid century modern furniture. This is a joy to walk through, even just to window shop. I will definitely be back in the future when furnishing my home!”
“Awesome assortment, reasonable pricing, super helpful staff. IMO it's the best place in town for beading supplies. I even picked up a fun book on Japanese beading that is out of print!”
“This is the best kept secret of the East Side! They have a good coffee and tea selection, including boba tea. It's run by an arts and culture nonprofit, so they always have different art and they often have cultural events. It's staffed largely by teenagers, which I think is great. The atmosphere is lovely, and the drinks are delicious. They also have some really delightful soft serve options! I'm so glad they have extended their hours.”
