“The staff are friendly. Frames are expensive but great quality. You get what you pay for.
I got frames here for a few pieces that were not standard measurements and went to Michael's for frames that were. The feel of the frames and how they are put together is night and day.
I will come back if I get something else I want a special frame for or one that needs custom framing.

“We had a great experience. One of our posters was very well loved and slightly torn, but they did a fantastic job and the end result is lovely. Also, it was a super safe and comfortable experience for my girlfriend and I. Can’t wait to come back!”
“Really high quality pieces here, and super friendly guy working in there. I just wanted a cheap piece while I was in town visiting, and picked up a little sherlock. At first I thought it was a little overpriced, but I didn't realize how good it was until I got home. Perfect ergonomics for hand placement, and a couple of subtle design features that added to its beauty. Definitely one that I'll give to a friend when I leave, rather than throw it away. Great artists working there.”
“Such a peaceful & calm place to visit. The staff are very kind and welcoming. The kaffebar has good options for food and drinks. Highly recommend visiting the Norway House!”
“Went for the 2025 Art-a-Whirl and it was a blast. Only made it through 3 of the four floors this time.
3rd Thursdays are an event where most studios are open.”
“The current show Ebb and Flow was amazing curated. We were able to attend both the Opening and the Artist Conversations.
The artist featured in the speaker series were Emily Donovan, Annie Hejny, Allison Johanson and Halle Rutgers. All were amazing speakers and very engaging.
These were just a sampling of the art in this show.”
“This artist space is newer to me but it packs a lot of charm. The tight corners and winding hallways lead to a variety of studios with a plethora of art to admire and take home. I've always had a good time with artists here and never felt like I was pressure to purchase any pieces. If you walk further down the main hallway you'll find yourself in the carriage house with even more studios and a great leatherwear store which you can buy cut to order belts among other accessories for a fair price.”

“I highly recommended Modern Artifact. We are downsizing and needed to part with three Chihuly art glass pieces. We promptly received a very fair cash offer and were expertly guided through packing instructions that assured that the items arrived to the gallery safe and sound. The entire process was so simple and straightforward. And, everyone we spoke with during the process was so nice to work with.”
“Beautiful gallery with a great mix of art and styles! The owners are fabulous and genuinely care about their work and helping clients find the right piece. Charming space to stop into!”
“It's a beautiful space with amazing art from a diverse spectrum of artist and artistry. You WILL find something you love. The only problem? Sticking to your budget! You'll want everything! ?”
“Owner was friendly. The store was full of amazing items from beautiful jewelry and clothing to unique books. Loved the atmosphere and the art pieces on display will definitely come back to buy more some time.”
“I love coming into the gallery and looking at what new unique art and treasures they have. Jolie and Kiera are one of a kind, as is their store. Framing is top quality and service is amazing. And the cards are goofy and hilarious!”
“Amazing exhibit of the most exciting, colorful, and expertly painted pictures of nature and popular Minnesota attractions.Michaels paintings are fantastic. His art studio includes prints, magnet as well as original paintings. You will not be disappointed. And the location has plenty of parking. With a delightful little coffee shop in the same building.”
“I thoroughly enjoyed the We're Not Fine podcast event. Nick is a fantastic artist and swell host. I look forward to other events and acquiring an original piece soon.”
“The premier artist housing and studio developers in the nation. Can’t say enough good things. Out this organization and it’s dedication to insuring affordable housing and studio space is available for America’s creatives. Honestly the world needs more orgs like artspace!”
“SOOVAC consistently brings thoughtful, stirring, and beautiful exhibitions into their uptown galleries. They have probably helped launch the careers of more local artists over the last 15 years than any other gallery in the cities.”
“McNulty is one of our founding members and his studio is a wonderful place to visit and check out his exquisite abstractions. His distinct style stands out amongst the many nonobjective painters in Minneapolis. You can find his work in the local corporate collections of US Bank Stadium, UBS Financial, Emerson, and General Mills.”
“Great place with a variety of products. Singing bowls, carvings, textiles, jewelry, painting. The owners were very engaging. Felt like I'd known them forever.”
“Brilliant photos and even more brilliant host! King kindly gave us somewhere to shelter and it was a pleasure to meet him. He has done amazing work and I learned a lot from him and his photos”

“I've attended a dozen performances perfprmed by some of my favorite local theater/dance companies and the spaces available within the Vine Arts Center are of a very high quality. I would recommend attending anything presented here as the vibe is informal yet highly cultured. Enjoy!”
“Came here today for my 2nd and 3rd piercings ever. Liz was very friendly and professional. I was quite nervous getting two dorsal frenum piercings, but she made it not so bad.”
