We have used Abbott many times for paint. They also connected us to our all-time favorite painter who was just starting out in business.
This was our first time with carpeting. The selection was broad. They carried on extensive discussion with the carpet factory for a special installation issue. The price was reasonable.
Unlike two chains that we contacted, they stayed with us and kept us informed and advocated for a better (and cheaper) way to do an unusual edge binding. One company even told us to start over with another affiliate because after the negotiation was done, they realized that we were outside their service area.
On installation day, a subcontractor arrived. Like the painter, the two people were skilled, efficient, and took pride in their work. They cleaned up perfectly.”

Our mid-90s home had the golden oak floors and trim and I could not find any stock stain by Minwax or Varathane that was even close. I took a sample of my existing trim along with a piece of the unfinished pine trim which I had conditioned. I’m lucky to have met Mike who in less than 3 days custom matched the stain perfectly.
