Phalen Regional Park is an outstanding city park with plenty of trails, a beautiful lake, picnic areas, a playground, and a beach with kayaks and paddle boards. It is a great place for a walk, a dip, or fishing. The park is mostly known for its traditional Chinese pavilion and arch, a beautiful pagoda built to commemorate a sister city relationship. The pavilion is well-setup for events. While parking can be a problem at events and some note the lack of security, it is considered a wonderful, underrated spot with nice rolling hills, impressive homes, and year-round beauty.
It's a friendly family park that can be a place for any occasion. Been coming here since I was little.

Best grounds, year round. Plenty of terrain options. If you can make it Water Fest is a Must Stop!

Wonderful site celebrating Asians living in Minnesota. Beautiful pagoda designed and assembled in a St. Paul sister city in China before being shipped to Phalen Park.
