Swede Hollow Park is a beautiful natural area and primitive ravine in the middle of St. Paul, like a fantasy land caught in the middle of cement. It is important sacred land for area immigration history, with great placards that explain how each country's immigrants lived. There are walking paths and it is a lovely spot for an art fair or pictures. It is a forest-like area without playgrounds or picnic amenities. Many issues with homelessness in the area are noted, which might be intimidating for some, and there can be trash. It is a place to be saved and preserved, for all, equally.
I went there for National Night Out. There were musicians there in the park too. It was a beautiful evening to listen to sole guitar and banjo and flute.

I love how green it is, and how peaceful and quiet it is!!!! I'd definitely come back here!!!!

It seems like a really nice park and there's a good interpretive guide but twice I've come here and a homeless man has set a shopping cart on fire that melted onto the asphalt pathways
