Alex has done my oil changes, brakes, replace other parts and new fuel line ran for ome that was leaking. Nobody else wanted to repair leaking fuel line Alwx stepped up did a fabulous job no more leaks. Thanks Alex for taking such great care of my car putting me at ease knowing he is always there to help !

“I recently had my car serviced by Joe’s General Auto in Shakopee and I am extremely happy with the process and the results. If you’re looking for a shop that spends a lot of money on advertising and parking and shop aesthetics, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for a shop that provides great service, communicates adequately, is transparent about pricing, and seems genuinely invested in successful outcomes, I recommend Joe’s General Auto.
When the transmission on my 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek failed, I had to choose between replacing the transmission and replacing the car. Quotes for replacing the transmission were not much less than I would have been willing to pay for a used car, so the question was whether to invest a stupid amount of money in a used car that I already knew to be otherwise reliable, or put a similar amount of money toward a used car that seemed great in the short term but might have other problems later on.
Once I found Joe’s General Auto and got a quote from Joe on a transmission replacement for the Subaru, I decided that replacing the transmission on my Subaru was the best option Joe’s quote was less than the other quotes I’d gotten, and I appreciated that he included other necessary repairs in the quote as well so that I could decide based on all the work required rather than getting hit with additional repair expenses shortly after making such a big investment. He was very transparent regarding his quote and pricing in general.
I’ve been driving with the replacement transmission for several months now and couldn’t be happier with the performance and with my decision to have Joe’s do the work so I could keep the car. Ben and Adam, the guys at the front of the shop who helped coordinate everything (the replacement process took several days) were great to work with, as was Joe whenever I worked directly with him.
Again, I highly recommend Joe’s General Auto in Shakopee.”

Sherman was very nice and helpful! I called at a little after 8am mentioning I noticed high pitched sounds coming from what seemed like my wheel barrings and was able to drop my car off as soon as I could get it there he said! I got a call around 11am explaining what would need to be done and were told should be able to fix same day! I got a call around 3pm that everything was done and was ready to be picked up! I didn't feel at any point they were trying to upsell me or do unnessary repairs/tasks which unfortunately I have experienced at other auto shops.
Again I will definitely be getting my oil changes and whatever else may come up from here as well!

“Had my radiator go out on me on jeep Cherokee. Called on Monday and got me in next day since cancellation . Dropped off early in the morning and got called about 40 mins later and told me the issue and estimated cost . Picked up next day and even showed me my old radiator that got replaced . “Mike is a super nice guy, easy going but straight forward, and cares a lot about customers like us that are financially strapped. We had a super old rusty van that needed a strut replaced. He ordered the part, allowed us to drop off the van even though he was super busy, got the work done quickly, and observed that we'll need to address the front breaks soon. Although sight unseen, he gave us an estimate and ended up charging us almost exactly what he estimated the repair would cost. His shop is clean considering it's a repair shop which I found refreshing. I would HIGHLY recommend Mike for your auto repairs! Guaranteed he's not going to charge you with the big shops charge!”
